The Consequences For Your Child and What You Can Do

As part of my thirty year career in education, I bounced around from one position to another, from classroom to administration to back to the classroom. I like to think that it is because I was such a talented educator. It’s more likely that they just couldn’t find a job where I would keep my mouth shut and toe the party line. Or maybe I just sucked at different jobs! Who knows?

But, what being in many different positions taught me is what the educational establishment is all about. It’s not pretty.

So, when I read post from a parent who attended a school board meeting in a Maryland county and saw the way they were lying and trying to placate him, I knew I had to write this post. I hope it will help you navigate the mess that public education is becoming.

The parent was asking about critical race theory being taught in the classrooms of their school system. If you don’t know what it is, here is the “official” definition of CRT:

“Critical race theory (CRT) is an analytical framework that stems from the field of critical legal studies that addresses the racial inequities in society. This article provides an analysis of CRT in the context of diversity and inclusivity in education.”

Nice word salad, huh? Here’s what the reality is.

1. CRT assigns moral value to the lives of people based on skin color. It basically teaches children that all problems in society are because of white people.
2. CRT teaches white children that their family members are racists, merely because they are white.
3. CRT is not presented as an opinion but as FACT and the TRUTH.
4. CRT has offshoot programs, critical feminist theory, post colonial theory among others.

The bottom line is that it is a program promoting racial, social, and gender division and the scapegoating of one race as the cause of all the ills of the world. Hitler would be proud.

The parent asked if CRT was being taught as part of the system’s curriculum, the “educators” told him that it was not specifically being taught but that the precepts were being addressed. In other words, “We don’t want to call it that because people will get upset so we will give it another name.” Typical. When asked for a copy of what was being taught, they tap danced around that as well.

Thing is, as a taxpayer, you have a right to see those materials. Here is how the State of Maryland defines your rights to information:

“Maryland’s Public Information Act (“PIA”) gives the public the right to access government records without unnecessary cost and delay.”

This is a broad statement and it appears they do give themselves ability to deny certain records. However, the curriculum of a school system doesn’t fall in that category.

But, don’t be fooled, they will stonewall you. I know a woman in our county who has waited for over a YEAR for a copy of the Social Studies Curriculum for the system. She has gone up the ladder from the Social Studies Specialist to the Superintendent to the School Board. No luck so she will now go to the local press. For some reason, they don’t want her or anyone to see it.

The system may try to tell you that they give teachers objectives and then leave it up to them to decide how to prepare and deliver lessons. That is bullshit, for lack of a better word. No modern school system allows teachers to “do their own thing” when teaching. The advent of testing, accountability, and social media have put an end to that. No Superintendent wants to see a Facebook or Twitter post of an offensive or controversial lesson taught by a teacher in their system. Control is the theme of the day. Teachers are directed to follow county curriculum. Period.

So, if they tell you that, let them know that is not true. Remind them of the PIA and that these materials fall under that law. If they keep denying you these materials, let them know that you will be filing a complaint with the Maryland Public Information Compliance Board.

You can also use your local press and/or other concerned parents to help you make your case! School systems hate negative publicity.

A simple way to see what is being taught is to look at the materials your child is bringing home or ask your child what they learned that day. Most kids will tell you honestly. Once you have that information, a post on social media in a education group can get things moving. Follow the post up with a phone call and you may actually get answers.

One of the ways that systems will placate parents is to tell them that if they don’t want their child to participate in a “controversial” program or lesson, they can “opt out.” Sounds okay, right? Not so fast.

You have to understand that whenever a child “opts out” of a class activity or lesson, this is extra work for the teacher since he/she now has to prepare an alternative lesson that the child can complete on his/her own. Many teachers will be resentful about this because it adds to their work load.( As a former teacher, I am not saying this as a condemnation of teachers but just a statement of fact.)

Several things could happen. Your child could end up doing assignments that are either time killers or somewhat punitive. I’ve seen teachers assign students a stack of boring worksheets. I’ve seen others sit them in a room with little to nothing to do. It is vital that you stress that neither of these are acceptable.

Your child might be publically shamed or belittled for opting out. A statement might be made in front of the class such as, ” Well, class, since Mary’s parents don’t want her learning about racial equality, she has to leave the classroom.” If you think an educator should be better than this, look up what teachers in a Virginia school district are doing to parents who are protesting the teaching of CRT. Some teachers are more activist than educator and will have no problem making your child an outcast.

It’s important that you know your child’s teacher(s) and school administrators. The better your relationship is with them, the less likely these problems will occur. Just be ready in case they do. You may have to go into the school or go up the chain of command to complain if they do. Do NOT let your child be hassled.

Another problem is that schools don’t always let you know when these programs are going on. This is on purpose to save them the headaches of parental complaints. So, you may never get a letter giving you the opt out option. You CAN do your own letter to the school putting them on notice that your child will not participate in certain activities. You have this right as a parent under the 14th Amendment of the Constitution. Here is a summary of that right and two court case examples:

According to the U.S Constitution, specifically the 14th Amendment, parental rights are broadly protected by Supreme Court decisions (Meyer and Pierce), especially in the area of education. The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that parents possess the “fundamental right” to “direct the upbringing and education of their children.” Furthermore, the Court declared that “the child is not the mere creature of the State: those who nurture him and direct his destiny have the right coupled with the high duty to recognize and prepare him for additional obligations.”
(Pierce v. Society of Sisters, 268 U.S. 510, 534-35)

The Supreme Court criticized a state legislature for trying to interfere “with the power of parents to control the education of their
own.” (Meyer v. Nebraska, 262 U.S. 390, 402.) In Meyer, the Supreme Court held that the right of parents to raise their children free from unreasonable state interferences is one of the unwritten “liberties” protected by the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. (262 U.S. 399).

In this letter, you can say:

“Please accept this letter as record of my decision to refuse for my child (name) to participate in any curriculum, lessons, or activities that involve ( subject matter) at (school) during the (year) school year. My refusal to participate in (subject matter)is because I believe this is detrimental to the social, mental, and academic growth and well being of my child as well as taking away time from the academic instructional experiences my child might otherwise receive.

This is a right guaranteed to me as a parent under the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

My child is prepared to come to school during such unit(s) and participate in alternative, meaningful, self-directed lessons that support the essential curriculum or other meaningful academic activities that the teacher or school determines. “

Make sure this letter is sent to the teacher, the school, area supervisors and the Superintendent. Keep a copy on file.

If you feel you need to, you can also add a section that says:

” I also expect that my child will not be intimidated into participating in these activities or shamed, embarrassed or singled out because he/she isn’t.”

That last section should be included at your discretion. As always, if things are to a point where you feel legal action needs to be taken, find a lawyer that handles these issues. Here is a web page that can help you find one:

Parents can no longer trust that the schools will respect parental rights and beliefs. You will have to be vigilent about what your child is being taught. As Reagan said, “Trust but verify.”

It’s unfortunate that we have come to a point in our country where parents need to be concerned about their child being indoctrinated into beliefs that are divisive and harmful to the child. To be fair, most schools and teachers want nothing to do with these discriminatory practices. They keep their politics and biases out of the classroom. But, you have to be prepared for the others. And, sometimes teachers have no choice.

Make sure you do have a choice about what your child is taught!

Trust me, they are preparing for the “Health Passport.”

It always amazes me how the Democrats and other liars work. They let an idea “leak” from their administration. Then after they hear the reaction they say it’s not true. Then they say they are doing something LIKE the lie but not quite the lie, which lets you know the lie is true. That is how the Biden regime is handling the “Health Passport.” It leaked that they were investigating it, they said they weren’t, then they said they were but just to help private companies develop them if they want. What the heck?

(And then today they said they were considering a health passport)

They are either totally schizophrenic ( which is possible) and just can’t make up their minds or they are distracting us AGAIN. Let’s deal with the former.

I said a few months ago that the Covid Cult would not be successful pawning their unapproved and untested vaccines off on all Americans. But, I also knew that they were intent on making us all take the shot regardless of whether we should or shouldn’t or whether it works or not.

Regardless of the fact that you can’t find opposition to vaccines on Youtube, Facebook, etc. without some “fact checker” labeling them as untrue, there are doctors out there who have stated an undeniable case against the vaccines. They describe the negative side effects for individuals and the world population and it is quite scary. Death, sterility, blood clots, you name it. And to top it off, Fauci himself had said the vaccine is only about 65% effective. I don’t know about you, but that’s too close for me to jump right in and take the risk. After all, I have a 99.7 % chance of surviving Covid if I get it. I think my chance of an adverse reaction to the vaccine is much higher. *

The government has a problem. The intent of the Covid scam was to test the waters of human cooperation and obedience to the elite rulers. It was a preface to the “Great Reset” where we would all give up our independence, our property, our right to think for ourselves for the promise of a guaranteed paltry income and tofu burgers with a side order of bugs for life.

So far, the face diaper experiment seems to have worked as large sections of the population have been convinced that masks help, even though most research says they don’t. They have also been convinced of the six feet social distance…oh wait, that’s three now. Some people are SO convinced that they have been willing to become “mask and distance monitors” and report those of us who violate illegal mandates.

But the vaccines are more of an issue. The big drug companies have been compelled to develop these vaccines with the promise of big bucks as country after country buys millions of them. Big name actors and politicians have appeared in commercials telling us it is “patriotic” to get the vaccine. ( Quite frankly, when I hear Barack and MIcheIle say something is patriotic, I laugh. As if. ) Congress has protected the drug companies from lawsuits from those damaged by the vaccines. The bottom line is, if we don’t all take them, someone is going to look really stupid and lose a lot of money. Sort of like what happned when Larry Hogan of Maryland wasted 50 million dollars on useless Korean Covid test kits. To this day, they are stored in some secret location.

So, they have to do something. Unfortunately, there aren’t enough people dying in the street to scare us to go for the jab. So now, it becomes a matter of force. But it won’t be easy to force many of us. You see, we believe in self determination and the rights of the individual. In order for us to take it, they are going to have to make it so miserable for us that we will beg to take the shot. Some ideas floated?

• restrict travel on airplanes
• exclude you from sporting and entertainment events
• take your children into protective custody
• keep your children out of school
• keep you from visiting relatives in hospitals or nursing homes
• charging you a fee on your taxes like the Obama care fee
• non-renewal of your driver’s license
• removal from your job, especially if you are in the public sector
• removal of entitlement payments
• denial of travel on cruise ships or public transportation
• denial of a business license
• keep you from attending church services
• keep you from attending weddings and funerals

I can name many others. Some might say, “That’s ridiculous, they won’t do that to someone because they won’t take the vaccine. ” I want you to remember the lengths this government has gone to in order to force people to do what they want. How many people have had their lives threatened and ruined because they stated an opinion or backed a certain political candidate? They don’t seem to care what they have to do to force you to do what they want. Did you EVER think that in America someone’s opinion would ruin or even end their life?

But….there’s hope.

We have this thing in our country called the Civil Rights Act. Under Title II, there are clear explanations of what our rights are when it pertains to the “full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, etc. of any place of public accommodation.” ( edited ). And, while this act is regarding discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin, its meaning can be extended to the right of the person who for stated reason, has not had the vaccine. Reference can also be made to the Americans with Disabilities Act as well.

It would be wise as we go through this fiasco that we all get acquainted with these Acts. It would also be wise to have an attorney on your speed dial! You need to be prepared!!!!

Also, have some points ready for your Senators, Representatives and State Officials for example:

• Will other deadly communicable diseases such as Tuberculosis, Measles, etc. be included as part of the Passport? If so, how will treat the older population who may not have access to vaccine records from their childhood?
• How will you address the inherent systemic racism and ageism in the Passport system? Many ethnic groups may not have access to vaccines or technology. Other groups, such as Orthodox Jews, Muslims and Catholics have religious objections to the ingredients of the vaccines or the vaccine themselves. #vaccinepassportsareracist
• There are different “levels” of access built in to New York’s system, this is both racist and elitist. How will you deal with this issue? #vaccinepassportsareracist

I am open to any and all other objections anyone can think of.

With all the waffling back and forth of the Biden Regime, who knows what they will do with this intrusion and violation of our Constitutional Rights. Unfortunately, the State of New York, under the direction of the murderer Cuomo, are now implementing this “passport.” This might give other states and the feds the idea that this can work.

I can tell you that for ME, I will not comply. If I have to give up the activities listed, I will. If I have to go to court, I will. For me, this is a line in the sand I will not cross.

*Astra Zeneca has suspended the distribution of their vaccine to people under 55 in Canada due to concerns about adverse effects. ( I guess it’s okay if the geezers have the bad side effects.) In Europe, too many recipients have had blood clots as a result.

But wait, they told us it was safe????

As usual, Leftists in D.C. are trying to pass a law by naming it by a name that is in direct opposition to what it is. It is HR 5- the Equality Act. It has NOTHING to do with equality, in fact, just the opposite.

HR 5 proposes profound changes to the Civil Rights law of 1964. That law addressed actual discrimination because of race, nationality, skin color or gender. It was rightfully passed and has been in place since then. But, this new “version” of civil rights will actually remove many of the rights guaranteed us under the Constitution. Here are some of the provisions:

1. Redefine gender ( male and female) to include “Sexual Orientation” and “Gender Identity.” This means eliminating the actual biological reality of being male and female and replace it with an artificially created and constructed definition. In other words, whatever you feel you are, you are. More on that later.
2. Require owners of ALL ESTABLISHMENTS open to the public to comply. You can look up how those establishments are defined, but I’ll just tell you it means pretty much any business. That means that no business will be able to tell someone which bathroom or services they can use, regardless of their biological sex. Want a bathroom or locker room just for biological females? Too bad. Anyone who says they are female will be in there with you. Too bad if you get assaulted by a guy who just wants to get a quick rape in while declaring himself a woman.
3. Threaten Religious freedom and free speech by forcing religious organizations to hire employees who do not share their faith. While this doesn’t apply to the hiring of ministers, it applies to all other staff. Imagine having that devil worshipping receptionist at the front desk of your church. That should be fun, huh? Or even better, teaching in your religious school. Oh, and you know how sometimes churches rent out their halls and facilities to other groups? They could not deny a group based on the beliefs of that group.
4. Undermine Parental Rights and Instruction. If you want your child to believe there are two sexes, well, you will just have to give that up because little Jane and little Johnny will be in the girls bathroom together because Johnny wants to be a girl today. And, this will more than likely lead to educational programs about sex and gender fluidity for children as young as pre-k. There will be no opting out.
5. Force Health Care Organizations to provide abortions and gender transition treatments, regardless that those violate the provider’s religious beliefts.
6. Demolish Girls’ and Women’s sports and educational opportunities by allowing biological men claiming to be women to compete with actual biological women. We know the advantage physically that men have over women. Now, a man who can’t win against other men can be a champion by competing against biologically disadvantaged women. And, imagine the college coach of a women’s team deciding whether they will give a scholarship to an actual woman who is top tier as a woman OR an even better biological man who has “transitioned” to a female. So much for Title IX. And we haven’t even talked about the safety of women competing against much stronger and bigger men.
7. Tax exemptions for religious organizations will probably be denied to those who fail to comply with these laws. This is in addition to the fines they will incur.

What can we do? First of all, talk to people about this. I really feel that most people find this a horrible bill when they understand it. Even Democrats can’t be happy with some of the provisions.

Call and email your Senators. Yes, I know many of us are tired of calling and emailing Senators who don’t seem to care about our opinions or even listen to us. But, I can’t sleep at night thinking I didn’t do all I could to prevent this. Info is provided below.

I’ve been waiting, as I am sure you have, to see those great Saturday Night Live skits about Joe Biden. You know, Joe falling down, Joe calling his wife his sister, Joe forgetting where he is, Joe being led everywhere by handlers, and CGI Joe. ( Hey, those of you from the 60’s and 70’s, maybe we could make a C-GI Joe action figure. I wonder what that would look like?)

I’ve been waiting for the rest of the late night comedy people to tell some jokes abou Joe, poke fun at his stupid comments about Corn Pop, leg hair, etc. You would think Jimmy Kimmel would jump on this like white on rice. ( Can we say that anymore?)

But nothing. Nada. Not even a smidge of humor except for those memes and videos created by Conservatives.

Their possible excuses? He’s old and they don’t want to make fun of an old person? Hmmmm. I seem to remember them making fun of Ronald Reagan and Trump, both about the same age as Biden. So, scratch that one.

Do they want to stay away from physical humor that makes fun of a President that falls down all the time? That might work, but then we all remember that Chevy Chase made a career of impersonating Gerald Ford falling down all the time. Cross that off.

I remember a time when comedians used to make fun of Joe. Joe and his hair plugs. Joe and his plagairism, Joe and his mediocrity. That material wasn’t nearly as funny as what joe has given them in the past 15 years or so.

Is it because their main audience will get mad? I don’t think so. Their audience, probably the under 40 crowd, aren’t exactly enamored with Joe. The phrases “he’s an idiot,” and “WTF” are common in their posts and commentary.

Do the comedians think he isn’t funny? Oh, come on. You know when they are talking to each other off air, they are screaming at all the blunders, gaffes, etc. I’m sure many of them are crying with despair that they can’t use them. I envision piles of notes of all the skits and jokes they would use, if only they could.

They think he is fodder for good comedy skits. But I also think they know that having this aging Dementia patient as President is NOT funny because he is severely damaging our country. He is taking our Constitution and shredding it. He is making our border a setting for an invasion. I almost wonder if they are a bit scared of exposing the dangerous fool this man is. They can’t like the idea of a crashed economy where no one, even they, have anything.

The Mainstream Media, comedians and writers want to hide all his mistakes. They want to hold him up like the two main characters of “Weekend at Bernies” did with their boss, partying with his dead body after he had been killed by a hit man. Imagine the Secret Service holding him up in a seat in Marine One and moving his hand up and down like he is waving.

Biden is certainly not dead (not that we have been told anyway), but everyone knows he is not well mentally or physically. Even other countries are mentioning it. But the press and the celebrities want the perks of staying in good favor with the Biden/Harris/Obama/CCP Administration. Payoffs, access, “woke” stature, favors; those are all hard to give up. Like junkies hooked on drugs, they must have it. They are addicted. So they pretend he is just fine.

I think they are a little scared too. After all, with dissenters being openly investigated by the FBI or being canceled from their fame and livelihoods, what’s to say someone making the wrong joke about Biden won’t meet the same fate? It was okay to hold up Trump’s severed head, but to even whisper something bad about Joe’s competency could get you canceled.

So, they avoid any humor about this dried up old corpse of a man fumbling, stumbling and executing the agenda of the far left. And you know what? They are right about one thing.

Joe’s not funny.

He is terrifying. Because he will destroy our country and our freedoms. He is doing things now that no sane human would do, especially when just in office. His actions could turn us into a third world shit hole.

At some point, I believe the Democrats will determine he is no longer useful and remove him, one way or another. By then it might be too late.

Maybe I do understand why the comedians aren’t making jokes about Joe. They know what we know.

Joe is taking us over a very high cliff into disaster. And even the guys who carted Bernie around for a weekend didn’t do that. That was a funny movie. Joe is a horrible reality.

He writes about a neighbor buidling a fence between their properties. He asks the neighbor why. Here is what he says about the neighbor’s response:

He only says, ‘Good fences make good neighbors.’
Spring is the mischief in me, and I wonder
If I could put a notion in his head:
‘Why do they make good neighbors? Isn’t it
Where there are cows? But here there are no cows.”

I wonder if Congress has ever read this poem. I would guess there are plenty who have not. After all, it was written by an old white man so it has to be racist and sexist, right?

I’m not writing to debate the value or the meaning of a poem or a poet. As an English teacher, I often had students analyze lines of poetry for deeper meaning than just the words written. However, I was never a fan of analyzing a poem so much that it lost its real meaning. Sometimes what an author said is exactly what he meant.

So, here we are in 2021 and Congress has built a huge fortress behind fences and guards to keep the American people out. They say it is because of the breach of the Capitol on January 6th. But, seriously, that’s bullshit. While that breach might have been frightening to some of them, it was nothing new. The Capitol had been breached before:

1. The War of 1812-Okay, I know it was over 200 years ago, but the Capitol was burned down by the British in 1812.
2. July 2, 1915 – German professor Eric Muenter exploded a bomb in the reception room of the Senate. He was protesting the U.S. supporting our allies in World War I.
3. March 1, 1954 – Puerto Rican nationalists shot 30 rounds from semi-auto pistols from a balcony of the House. They unfurled a Puerto Rican flag and then started shooting at representatives. Many were hurt but no one died. The nationalists were sent to prison but had their life sentences commuted by Jimmy Carter.
4. March, 1971 -the radical domestic terror group Weather Underground, protested U.S. military involvement in Laos by exploding a bomb on the ground floor of the Capitol.
5. November, 1983- a radical leftist group called Armed Resistance Unit detonated a bomb in the lobby outside Robert Byrd’s office. They were protesting the invasion of Granada.
6. July, 1998- two capitol police officers were shot and killed by two men who burst into the Capitol. The motive is undetermined to this day.
   

What is interesting about these six attacks, some during or directly prior to wartime, is they did not cause the Congress to erect barriers or fences around the complex. But the January 6th breach did. Why? As Frost said in the poem, ” Here there are no cows.” In other words, here there is no threat!

Is there a threat? Certainly, after the peaceful supporters of Trump have been demonized, investigated, harrassed and unfairly arrested in some cases, there is no desire on any of their parts to peacefully march in D.C. much less cause violence. In fact, the only people causing mass violence during marches this past winter were BLM and Antifa, and since the Left doesn’t call that “violence,” the fences are not for them.

I think there is a threat. But it’s not from Trump supporters or even BLM or Antifa. I think the threat is located INSIDE those fences.

Each day of the Biden/Harris/Obama gives us clues to that threat. Sometimes they are subtle, sometimes they are obvious. They have an end game planned, and it will not be good for most of us.

On the first day of the regime, the numerous executive orders gave us an idea of their goals; eliminating oil/coal/natural gas production in this country, thus destroying thousands of jobs and driving energy prices through the roof, opening the border to hundreds of thousands of illegals to drain American economic resources while providing competition for jobs to the citizens who just lost theirs, stripping American women of their ability to compete on a level playing field with each other by allowing transgender “women” to unfairly compete with natural women; and allowing China access to the American power grid, thus destroying our national security. In fact, they seem to be selling our country to China, bit by bit.

Then there was the targeting of President Trump, his followers, and Conservatives with bogus prosecutions, removal from public forums via Big Tech, threats of impeachment for disagreeing with Democrats, hiding truth with fact checkers, constant propaganda against white Conservatives via the News Media, and elimination of police and military who disagree with Democrat dogma. And, let’s not forget the constant barrage about racism, “White Privilege,” masculine toxicity, and even the possibility of the elimination of the white race as a solution to all the ills of the world.

Hidden under the Covid Cult agenda, the Regime attempted to destroy small businesses, invade the privacy of citizens and restrict their Constitutional freedom with bogus mask and social distancing mandates by overreaching politicians. They effectively turned citizens against each other as they set up snitch hot lines. Now, the implementation of a ” Health ” passport is being investigated to further restrict the rights to travel and live independent lives.

Of course, Democrats try to hide their real end game with the fable of the threat to their lives in the Capitol. After the recommendations of a rabid Castro loving retired general acting as a “security expert,” to keep the safeguards up, Pelosi is in no hurry to change things.

This all helps move them toward the end game goal. With fences up, the Leftists can keep pointing to the myth of the violent, dangerous Trump supporters. Add to that the bogus creation of a “bi-partisan” committee to study the January 6th incident, and you keep that point in front of the American public. ( By the way, is it REALLY bi-partisan if an eleven person committee is comprised of 7 Democrats and 4 Republicans? I don’t think so.) Anyone want to bet on the conclusions of this committee?

Of course our children and grandchildren are part of the plan. Through critical race theory, early sexualization and the 1619 project, Leftists plan to teach our children to be ashamed of themselves, their race, and their country. If they can brainwash our youth, their goal becomes easier to attain.

And let’s not forget the bills presented in Congress, HR 1 and more gun control. HR 1 will remove all safeguards from the voting process. Voters won’t have to be citizens, won’t have to go to the polls, will not have to show I.D. , will not have a “deadline” for their votes to be mailed, and on and on. It guarantees the theft and fraud of all elections going forward. No Conservative candidate will ever have a prayer of winning against the huge Leftist, one party rule, machine. Remember, Joe Biden said in his press conference (either by design or by mistake), that he didn’t think the Republican Party would exist in 2024. Good old Bolshevik style elimination of the opposition!

Gun control will effectively eliminate the right of the private citizen to defend themselves against crime. National registration, bi-yearly mental health certification, insurance requirements, are all nails in the coffin of the Second Amendment. An unarmed citizenry is much easier to control.

It all adds up. The Leftists want to eliminate what America is. If it means purging half of the population, I think they are willing to make it happen.

But, getting back to the fortress. I think it could be a sign of HOPE for America. Why? Because it shows that the Leftists know that the American people will not tolerate this agenda much longer. If they keep running full speed down this path to one party rule and totalitarianism, there will be massive opposition. I think they will not only face opposition from the Conservatives, but many other Americans of all ethnicities, national origins, religions as well. I know there are a lot of scumbags out there who will jump on this agenda with zeal, but I also know there are MILLIONS of good people who will eventually see it for what it is. We just need to find each other and talk to each other.

A real life example is something I heard from a video of a man in California speaking to his community council. Everything had been shut down, and the council was doing nothing to make things better. The man told them ( and I paraphrase), “Things right now are peaceful and we are peaceful people. But, when we can no longer feed our children, provide for ourselves, we will not be peaceful any more. We don’t want violence, but if we have to, we will resort to whatever it takes.”

This man and his fellow citizens have formed a plan to change what is going on. If you go to the website, redwhiteandblueprint.com, you can watch one chapter of their video series for free. ( There is a fee for seeing more.) They are banding together to stop the elitist bureaucrats and keep their freedoms. Maybe the Biden regime and those in the Capitol might want to think about that.

When we all come together, they are going to need a fence, barriers, and a lot more to keep us out. I think Pelosi knows that. After all, she has a wall around her home. She knows what happens when you screw your constituents. Americans don’t do well with Kings and dictators. We tend to want them gone.

And fences? Well, they can be a way to keep the peace between neighbors. But that also requres that you don’t violate your neighbor’s rights.

This is not the first time I have addressed this issue.

If I hear one more reasonable, nice person tell me that we need to compromise on issues of freedom, I may have to become a hermit. Seriously, living in the woods with all its hardships, sounds so much better than dealing with those who want to do a great Neville Chamberlain impression.

You see, freedom cannot be compromised, especially when it is freedom of your fundamental rights, speech, religion, association, protest, own a gun, etc. It was clearly defined in the Constitution and it has worked pretty well in this country for over 200 years.

Compromise is for other things, where we go to dinner, how much we spend on a car, or whether or not to vacation in the mountains or at the beach. It is not for freedom.

Compromise is also something that can be done with reasonable other parties who wish to enjoy the same rights and freedoms we do. It is not for tyrants who wish to tell you where you can and cannot go, what you can and cannot say, and which religion you can practice or not practice.

You see, tyrants are tyrants for a reason. They want to control EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. Tyrants are the global equivalence of a Home Owner’s Association on steroids, even more invasive, if you can imagine.

Be clear, they don’t start out big. They start out small, taking away “small” things to test the waters. And usually, the compromise people say, “Oh, it’s just running this little piece of my life.”

We have some tyrants in the little town where I live. Some of them are called Town Commissioners and they want everyone to follow their rules for what we do in our homes and on our property. Not all of them are tyrants, but some of them think it’s up to them to tell other people what to do .I don’t know why. Maybe they are just so bothered by what other people’s yards look like that they just can’t live another day without telling us all what to do with them, how high our grass can be, which flowers to grow, and how many signs we can have there, what those signs can say and how long we can have those signs in our yard.

I said it before and I will say it again. Our town is not a junk heap of campaign signs, realtor signs, yard service signs, etc. I don’t see them piled up and destroying the view of the water, the trees, or anything else. But, because some little guy who got elected Commissioner by 400 people is bothered that someone may have one more sign in the yard than he likes, he needs to get that under town control. Funny, because he doesn’t seem to care about other things like how many ugly mask mandate posters have peppered the walls and utility poles all over town for at least a year. Or the ugly stand up ” social distancing ” signs in the Town Park and on the beach. Those are just fine.

But that isn’t the real reason for this. The real reason is that someone doesn’t like what some of the signs say. They don’t agree with them. They find them offensive because they support one side of an issue regarding the history of our county. You know what?

Too bad. I see lots of signs that are “offensive” to me personally, but those people have a right to have those signs on their property.

Now, maybe the guy is not a tyrant. Maybe he’s just a man with too much time on his hands who is worried his half million dollar property will only get sold for $499,000 because someone has a sign in their yard. Or maybe he just doesn’t like political speech. Either way, I don’t want to compromise with him.

And I won’t. Seriously, I won’t. I guess they will fine me, send the town crew to take the sign down, or have the police give me a citation. I really don’t care. My husband and I have owned this home for over 40 years. And, when we bought it, we didn’t agree to have someone tell us what we can and cannot do in our yard. We didn’t agree to give up our freedom of speech. We keep our property fairly clean. It’s not the nicest house in Oxford, but we don’t bother anyone. Our neighbors don’t seem concerned about our signs, so I don’t know why some guy on the other side of town does.

I’m going to make some people mad with this post. I may hurt some feelings and even lose some friends. I guess that is what standing up for your freedom can do.

Maybe that’s why Mitch and Lindsey and the rest of the Republicans in Congress don’t stand up for us. They don’t want to lose their friends. And look where that has gotten us. We have an Alzheimers Patient in the White House who is destroying our country.

Bottom line is, no matter what, I won’t give up my freedoms, even if it is just a “little” compromise. I know history and I know that “little” compromises on freedom can lead to some pretty terrible events.

Look it up. You will see how total tyranny ALWAYS starts.

In The Art of War by Sun Tzu, states the following, ” If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Conservatives in our country should heed this quote because we are not winning much lately. The reason? We don’t know our enemy nor ourselves.

How do I know this? I know it because every time we think the Lefties can’t be more irrational, can’t cross a another moral line, they do. And we are surprised. Worse, the Republican leaders seem not to notice.

All you have to do is look at recent history. Conservatives thought that Lefties couldn’t possibly cheat and steal an election and get away with it. They did. We thought they couldn’t possibly go after a President leaving office, they did. We didn’t think the current administration would actively create and sign executive orders that would ruin our country. They did.

When we think that we share any kind of moral code with Leftists, they show us that we don’t. Like when they rescinded Trump’s order to deport illegal aliens who have sex offenses or are pedophiles. Or when Biden signed an Executive Order allowing biological men to not only invade the privacy of the women’s locker rooms and restrooms, but also to unfairly compete against women and girls in sports. We didn’t know the monsters they really were.

It’s frustrating to watch Conservatives fall into the trap of not knowing the Leftist Democrats over and over, particularly in the House and the Senate. For having worked with these people for so long, you would think they would finally see who they really are. Yet time after time, we see Mitch McConnell and the Republican lawmakers try to make nice with them, compromise, work together. They have no idea who the enemy is.

If you want to know who the “enemy” is politically, all you need to do is look at Tammy Duckworth, Democrat Senator from Illinois and Mazie Hirono Democrat Senator from Hawaii. These two women are stone cold, KKK type racists. How do I know? Because they told the White House the other day that they will vote against ANY white nominee for the cabinet from this point forward. Oh, and they may vote against anyone who is not diverse in color AND sexual preference. They aren’t working with their own President, much less Republicans.

Not that I care if Joe Biden gets his nominees approved, I don’t. Everyone he nominates is a leftist Socialist who will run that Cabinet Department and this country into ruin. But we need a Republican Senator to come out with many Senators behind him/her and call these two scumbags what they are, racist jerks. They need to point out that for them to do this is against the Civil Rights Law and it is illegal. They need to call for these two to be censored, removed and possibly arrested.

If the shoe was on the other foot, that is what the Democrats would do. In fact, they tried to get rid of Senator and Representatives merely for supporting President Trump. Pelosi, who railed about the sanctity of the election, is not trying to steal an election from the Republicans.

You see, Democrats will lie, name call, falsely accuse, and even kill to get their way. They don’t even mind if they betray our country. It means nothing to them. And they will stick together while they do it.

I know what you are saying. You are saying that you don’t want Republicans to be like Leftist Democrats. That’s like Eisenhower saying they didn’t want to kill German soldiers because they didn’t want to be like the Germans who killed American soldiers. That was war and our guys were going to have to kill their guys. We made the difference clear between us and them in other ways, by following the Geneva convention, etc. But we still killed their soldiers.

Now, if you think the Republicans are always squeaky clean politically, you know that many are not. Like someone said to me this morning, anyone who came into Congress not a millionaire and left as a multimillionaire, is dirty somehow. And, so many of them are compromised. But right now, we have some more pressing issues with Leftist Democrats. Look at this list of recent Leftist actions:

• Promoted and permitted the legality of late term, even up to birth, abortions.
• Canceled human trafficking task force allowing the Cartels and others to resume operations
• Allowed a surge of illegals to cross the border with thousands of unaccompanied minors
• Created a voting system allowing anyone to vote in national elections even if they are not citizens or legal to do so. Also want mail in elections with no vote certification or validation process.
• Voted to Violate the Constitutional rights of legal gun owners and advocated for police to enter homes unconstitutionally.
• Violated the Constitutional right to free speech.
• Violated the Civil Rights Law by demanding race and gender based cabinet nominees.
• Discriminated against military members based on religion and political beliefs.
• Violated the 4th Amendment rights citizens
• Violated the 5th Amendment rights of citizens
• Unconstitutionally persecuted individuals without due process.
• Gave money, housing, and education to illegal aliens while homeless vets and other homeless suffer on the streets.

I could go on with the list of their destructive ideas and fraudulent actions.

The Republicans need to do some serious soul searching in order to participate in this fight. They need to look in the mirror and see that they can’t be the polite, fight by the rules, stuffed shirts they have been in the past. They need to take a page from Donald Trump’s book and roll up their sleeves, take off the kid gloves and do some street fighting.

I don’t mean violating the law. I mean AGGRESSIVELY using the law against the leftists at every opporunity. Again, they need to get up to the podium, call Senators Duckworth and Hirono out for being racist and sexist and then call for their censure and impeachment. If possible, call for their indictment for violating Civil Rights laws.

Drag Pelosi through the legal mud by pointing out her “treason” for questioning and possibly overturning the Iowa Congressional Record. File charges through the candidate who may lose her seat.

Call for charges against the Biden campaign and the Democrat party for fraudulently hiding the mental and physical capacity of Joe Biden. Call for every one of his Executive Orders to be overturned because he was incapacitated when he signed them.

Aggressively question the eligibility of Harris to be Vice President, much less President. Use lawyers to promote the case. Again, use the rules against them.

Even if none of it works, they will have presented the idea and put it in the minds of the people.

Is there any hope that the Republicans can change how they operate and successfully fight this onslaught of destructive actions? Am I asking for the impossible? Maybe. Will any of them step forward? I think there are some who can. Rand Paul, stands out as one. Maybe Ted Cruz. The point is, the old guard can’t keep leading the toothless charge. We need animals with sharp teeth who are willing to be the predators and not the prey.

Back to Sun Tzu, “Security against defeat implies defensive tactics; ability to defeat the enemy means taking the offensive.”

Take the offensive Conservatives. Our country, our lives, our rights, are at stake.

As we watch Joe Biden stumble, shuffle, mumble and fall his way through the first part of this regime, it’s clear that the oldest person ever selected to be President is mentally and physically incapacitated. As he blankly stares ahead and looks lost, many people have said to me that they “feel sorry for Joe” and that the Democrats and his wife Jill are committing elder abuse.

I don’t feel sorry for him. Not one bit. His career was created on cheating, stealing and abusing others. Karma.

And, I think he and his family made a deal with the Democrat Power Cartel that he would assume the Presidency under the pretense that he was in charge in order to appease the more middle of the road Democrats who might have seen him as a moderate. Of course, he isn’t. He’s clearly being told what to do by someone behind the scenes.

I think his family sees this as a chance to protect themselves from the treason they have committed. Hunter Biden’s crimes rival any mob boss. But, when they can’t keep up the charade any longer, Kamala will slide into his seat faster than you can say “lap dance.” It’s the biggest bait and switch con ever committed in the United States.

But, if we want to talk about elder abuse, what is going on in D. C. doesn’t come close to the abuses that been perpetrated on the elderly throughout the country.

During the pandemic, cases of elder abuse have risen exponentially, with Canada reporting a ten fold increase. The U.S. follows close behind. Why? First of all, with the news media constantly reporting that Covid is more deadly to those in the 65 and older age group, many have started looking at older people as liabilities and sometimes the reason why drastic lockdowns and mask mandates were implemented. The hash tag on social media in posts about Covid that describe it as the ” #BoomerRemover” trended high, often accompanied with ageist disparaging and devaluing memes. (Ayalon, L. “Int. Psychogeriatric, 2020) (By the way, I think Facebook ought to classify calling someone a “boomer” as hate speech. Don’t hold your breath!)

However, a much more serious result of Covid is the abuse of the elderly in lockdowned homes and in nursing homes. In family homes, people under financial stress often take that stress out on their elderly relatives both mentally and physically. This increases as the medical care and everyday assistance needed by the elderly is more intense. Care from in home care professionals is limited by Covid due to infection fears and cost.

This dependency of elders on their relatives can also lead to the elderly being exploited by abusers in order to steal valuables or demand social security checks are signed over to them.

It doesn’t help that monitoring agencies can’t make the necessary home checks that are needed to protect seniors. Many cases of abuse are not reported.

In nursing homes themselves, most residents are unable to see their relatives, thus depriving them of the love, purpose, and human contact they crave and need. Their condition and health go downhill quickly and they often die alone. Although it may not be classified as abuse, denying these people of the joy of family in their last years can be seen that way.

As someone who has had an elderly parent in both an assisted living and nursing home, I know that residents who have family or friends as advocates on site protects them from abuse from staff and other residents. With families locked out, the path is clear for those staff who may perpetrate violence on the elderly. The National Center on Elder Abuse says that “social isolation is one of the greatest risk factors for elder abuse” and the pandemic is a breeding ground for social isolation.

Probably the most egregious example of elderly abuse occurred in New York State by the hand of the government. Citing overcrowding in hospitals, Governor Andrew Cuomo forced people with Covid and recovering from Covid into nursing homes, causing approximately 11,000 residents to become infected and die. New York wasn’t alone, as New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California also admitted recovering Covid patients into nursing homes, an action that health experts said was dangerous and inexcusable. Nursing home patients comprised 40% of California’s Covid deaths and 65% of Pennsylvania’s in the early Spring of 2020. Clearly, state officials in those states did not see the lives of the elderly to be as important as protecting the lives of younger people.

It seems that in this world of people hashtagging against every kind of discrimination and disrespect, the elderly don’t rate the same consideration or social advocacy. I don’t see commercials for the acceptance of the elderly or protests that “Grey Lives Matter.” The mainstream media doesn’t report on it.

In that regard, I guess that elder abuse and the mental and physical decline of Joe Biden are the same. You never see a report about either story on the nightly news or on CNN, FOX or MSNBC.

As for me, don’t ask me to feel sorry for Joe if he is being exploited. He deserves it. He has been a racist, sexist harrasser of women who worked for him, a liar who ruined a man’s life over a lie, and an overall evil person.

The country, however, doesn’t deserve the exploitation of his incapacity as it defrauds and destroys our country. It doesn’t deserve the bait and switch con.

No one does.

**Addition: I have looked up several organizations who advocate for senior citizens and deal with the issue of elder abuse. Instead of listing all of them, I have found a site called, “shieldmysenior.com” It is run by a man named Vincent Valvo. I don’t know anything more about him other than he calls himself the “Chief Old Guy.” This site lists all kinds of senior citizen organizations. I will forgive them for listing the Left leaning AARP because they also list Conservative organizations such as AMAC.

There is also an organization called the “National Adult Protective Services Association,” a non-profit formed in 1989 to investigate, report and prevent abuse of the elderly. I get the impression that they are more focused on seniors with disabilities. I don’t know any more than that, and I am a bit shy of any group that has such a wide network of volunteers and deals with reporting abuse. Plus, I can find no financial report or accountability document on their website and that bothers me. But they have many resources and statistics about elder abuse. When people ask me to name the hardest thing I have ever done, I immediately say, “My last marathon.”

Don’t stop reading, this is not a post about running. It’s a post about endurance, persistence, and convergence.

I have run four marathons in my life. Funny, because if you knew me throughout most of my life, I swore I hated running and I would never be one of those crazy people who ran a marathon. But, at age 57 I started running as part of an eighty pound weight loss mission. In 2015 I ran my first marathon. In 2019 I ran my last one.

It was in Salisbury, Maryland. My goal for that race was to get my time under 5 hours. It didn’t work out that way. It’s not like I didn’t train hard, I did. But, as most runners will tell you, part of getting to the finish line is getting to the starting line healthy. For this marathon, I was “slightly” injured. It was a twinge in my right Achilles. Nothing major and it wasn’t going to keep me from running.

The beginning of the race was good. I met an older gentleman who told me he was almost 80 and that this was his umpteenth marathon. He seemed like a good person to run with, not too fast, not too slow.

For you non-runners, most of the people who run marathons are not like the elite Kenyans you see on television. They run it to win money and they can finish 26.2 miles in around 2 hours. That is damn fast.

The rest of us are considerably slower. Because of that, we can talk to other people along the way and make friends during the race. So, this man and I became friends.

Everything was going fine until about mile 19. At that point, I started to have sharp pain shooting through the top of my right foot and up my shin. I honestly felt like I had broken something. But, my friend encouraged me to keep on going. So I did.

At this point, I knew I was not going to finish anywhere NEAR my goal time. In fact, I was worried I may not finish the race before the time maximum when they come and pull you off the course so regular people can use the roads again. But, I limped on my way. My new friend started to struggle as well, but mainly because he was feeling physically ill.

We both kept on going. He slowed down considerably and told me to go on ahead. I did. Those last miles felt like they would never end. The closer I got to the finish line, the farther away it seemed. In my head I asked myself, “Why am I doing this? I’m not going to make my goal time and it hurts pretty bad. No one would fault me if I quit. What’s the point?”

But, I thought about all that work I had done, about my coach had worked with me. I thought of my friend on the course and how he had kept me going. I wanted to cross that finish line, no matter what. I perservered.

I crossed that finish line after almost six hours. There weren’t many people left there since it had been so long. But, my coach was there waiting on me and he greeted me with a smile and a hug. He was proud of me no matter what time I had run.

Then I looked at my right leg and so did he. My right shin, was swollen and purple all the way up from the top of my foot, ending in a big goose egg about half way up my leg. It was ugly! Good thing I hadn’t seen that at mile 20! Staff from the med tent immediatly had me elevate my leg and ice it.

After a bit, my friend came stumlbing across the finish line as well. He looked somewhat disoriented and had that marathon runners “lean” because he was so tired and dehydrated. They took him to the med tent immediately. Don’t worry, he recovered nicely after some fluids and air conditioning.

It was the slowest and hardest marathon I had ever done. But it was also the one that I am most proud of because I fought all kinds of doubt and adversity to finish it. The reward was much better than just the medal!

We are in the middle of a really hard marathon in our country and world right now and the finish line seems far away. The difference is that in this marathon, we don’t know what the finish line will be like when we get there. We are faced with adversity, pain, and doubt.

Will we still have a country? Will we be free?

Or will we be trapped in a Socialist nightmare where we are controlled by a One World Government that makes all decisions for us. Will it make any difference that we fought through pain, adversity and doubt to complete our battle?

No one really knows.

A woman I know was getting discouraged because she keeps trying to talk to people and show them what is going on, but they don’t seem interested. They don’t believe. It’s like beating her head against a wall. It’s like that pain in my leg telling me I need to quit.

But, we still have to push through the long haul. We have to keep encouraging each other to do the same. Every time she talks to someone, whether she knows it or not, she plants a seed that might eventually change a heart or mind.

It won’t happen over night. That’s the hard part. Our society is conditioned to define success as immediate results. Problem is, this slide toward Socialism didn’t just happen to our country, it was developing over time.

There is a saying in running that you need to “run the mile you are in.” It means to focus on how you run this mile, not the 25 miles after it. That is where we are. That doesn’t mean we don’t have a plan, we do, but we have to focus on each part of that plan.

We have to fight the battle we are in right now, not the battles down the road. That’s why perseverance and endurance are key. Without those, we cannot win.

And, finally, I don’t want to forget about convergence.

Finishing my marathon involved a convergence. It was a convergence of my training, my coach’s coaching, my refusal to submit to pain, and the encouragement of a friend along the way.

Our success will depend on educating and training ourselves in methods to effect change, help and coaching from knowledgeable people, tolerance to the temporary pain we may have to endure, and our own faith and the faith and encouragement of others who are fighting the battle with us.

I believe the finish line will be a good one.

We will get there.
