Days 10, 11 of the 1,460 Days of Pushing Back

I didn’t write much yesterday because I was coming to terms with the emotions I was dealing with regarding the division of our society. I was compelled to write about that.

Today, I’m going to give you actions that can take more than two days and that you should be doing quite often.

RESEARCH: Information is the life blood of freedom.

  1. Pay attention to the Congressional Record. You can find it here: https://www.congress.gov/congressional-record . The Congressional Record contains all proceedings of Congress including bills proposed, votes, etc. This is important, because you need to see what our legislators are doing. Pay attention to what is proposed, who proposes it, who votes for it, etc. This is a great way to know what the agenda is as well as who supports it and who doesn’t. If you check it daily, it’s easier to keep up with.
  2. Research your local, state and national election calendar and also who the candidates for office are or might be. One thing I have learned through this whole mess is that we need to be more careful in who we elect to office. Many people don’t know who is running for office until the very last minute. That’s not enough time to know who a candidate really is and what they actually support versus what they will say to get elected. Go here: https://www.usa.gov/midterm-state-and-local-elections. This website can give you a great deal of info and can also send you to your state and local website.

Another site is : legiscan.com You can find a ton of info on legislation and legislatures.

  1. Every once in a while, go down that rabbit hole. Now, I know that may raise some eyebrows. Some of these theories and ideas are pretty crazy. BUT, I think it is interesting to hear these things because they challenge your mind. It’s somewhat like watching a Sci-Fi movie. And, in some of these, there is probably some kernel of truth, even if it is teeny tiny. I will also say it can be entertaining. For example, check out the one on clones. My warning to you is keep your common sense and wits about you!!!! Discard what doesn’t make sense for sure. (For example, today I listened to a video and in the video the moderator was discussing the fact that the Joe Biden we are now seeing is not the real Joe Biden. This gentlemen knew Joe Biden when he got thrown off the Senate Intelligence Committee for leaking info. Funny, but my Dad, who worked for the Joint Chiefs at the Pentagon, had said for years that he strongly disliked Biden because he was stupid AND corrupt. It’s not earth shaking but a confirmation of what Dad had said. Tiny kernel of truth in what was a fairly fantastical video.)

The bottom line to all of this is INFORMATION IS FREEDOM! Now go get informed.
