Time to Stop Tying Our Hands Behind Our Backs – 1,422 Days Remaining

Rush Limbaugh used to say he was “fighting liberals with half my brain tied behind my back just to make it fair. ” I loved that quote because it was a slap to all the pointy headed left leaning academics who thought they were smarter than he was.

But, unfortunately, I think Conservatives/Republicans have been doing something very damaging to the cause of thinking patriots. They have been forcing us to fight the battle against leftist Socialism with one hand tied behind our backs. And it has made the battle unfair and unsuccessful for us.

I said in an earlier post in November that the one major difference between the Leftists and Republicans is that the Lefties know they are in a fight, so they fight with hard hitting tactics. Republicans, on the other hand, take the “higher ground” and try to fight within the rules, with somewhat Puritian ideas and practices. This has not served their cause.

I was reminded of this yesterday by a gentleman named Matt on one of the message boards I’m on. He was expressing his frustration at the feeble, if any, fight that the Republicans have particiapted in against the left. His point is that we need to change our tactics and, while not turning into the left, fight with more vigor, more ” down and dirty.” As he said, we didn’t defeat the British by fighting as they did in lines and organized armies, but by using the element of guerilla warfare. It was not “gentlemanly” as defined by the British, but it was effective.

I agree.

I also think that Republicans have always defined this battle between left and right as “merely politics.” The Democrats have realized that the war has many more fronts. They use EVERYTHING to spread their dangerous ideas; education, entertainment, sports, the medical community, and social and news media. To them, it’s a cultural war more than a political one, and they are winning it. They understand the impact of each of these segments of society and are using them to their full, coordinated effect.

I think Trump was the first Republican who saw this and tried to turn it around. That’s why he used Twitter as a daily pathway of speaking to the American people. Some objected to the things he posted, but I think he knew from his “reality show” experience on “The Apprentice,” that his posts would gain him attention and publicity. And his supporters, while claiming to their more middle of the road friends that they didn’t care for his Tweets, secretly gave him an ” atta boy” for saying the things he said for them as they would love to say them.

The Left hated it. He was turning their tactics back on them. I think that is why they ultimately banned him.

Of course the old guards of the Republican Party would clutch their collective pearls and gasp in dismay. They were stuck in the olden days of powdered wigs and political traditions that no longer work. This carried over to their non-existent fight against a stolen election. While the people asked them to respond to our charges, the Republicans ( mainly Romney, McConnell, Pence, Collins, Murkowski, etc) quietly told us to sit down and wait for the next election when they would pay more attention.

Not good enough. And neither are their arcane practices of political incest with the Democrats. We can see what we need to do, and they need to get out of the way.

So, how do we fight with Democrat tactics?

  1. Read Allinsky’s Rules for Radicals. This is the playbook for Leftists.
  2. Stop being polite in discussions with Leftists, especially when they try to talk over you, call you names, etc. Be determined to get your point across regardless of what the Leftist says.
  3. Don’t shrink into who you are. Too often, people will deny their race, their economic standing, their politics. Stop doing that. If you are white, there is nothing wrong with being proud of being white, just like others can be proud of their race. If you are a black or hispanic, be proud of that.
  4. If a teacher attempts to indoctrinate your child into leftist thinking, report them to his/her bosses and keep pressing on until the practice stops. If you get no change, start lobbying with other parents to get people fired. If you can, get your kids out of the public schools.
  5. Don’t apologize for your actions if they are not illegal or immoral. Do not apologize for the actions of others, even if they are your ancestors.
  6. Take the offensive instead of always being on the defensive side of the battle. Suprise attacks are usually successful. In the Bible, the term “watchmen” means those who are on both the offensive and the defensive.
  7. Don’t equivocate on your beliefs. Ever.
  8. Stop waiting for Trump or anyone else to save us. After Trump’s CPac Speech, some people on message boards were complaining because HE wasn’t doing anything. Seriously, did you expect him to get up there and proclaim himself as the current President? Did you want him to declare Civil War? What did you want? I am sure he is doing all he can right now to fight back. But, if you are going to sit on your sofa and wait for Trump to do it all, you deserve to be disappointed.
  9. And in that vein, yes, I pray to God every single day. And, I do believe this is in his hands. But, think about it, when the Israelites escaped from Egypt, Moses had to take action. He couldn’t just sit there and wait for God to fix it all. Sure, God did the warning signs and parted the Red Sea. But, without Moses taking action, no one escapes. And, those actions God took wouldn’t seem “gentlemanly” to the current crop of Republicans. They were the actions of a fighting God using a fighting man!
  10. As Marjorie Taylor Greene said,

“We can’t stay locked in this ‘Paul Ryan: That’s Not Who We Are bubble’. We’re being eaten alive, and our country is being destroyed while we sit here taking some makebelieve moral high road.”

“We can either stop with that nonsense, and get in the gutter and beat these ghouls on their home turf, or we can sit in the corner clutching our pocket Constitutions, screaming about virtue and honor while the entire country burns to the ground.”

She’s right. And she’s someone who has already paid a price for speaking out.

And, there will be a price we will all pay for standing up. We will lose friends, maybe even jobs.

But, even with that, I’m ready to fight with everything I have. I’m tired of having one hand tied behind my back. Aren’t you?

And Matt, thanks for the inspiration!

Short Musings While Running…

1.So, they tell me to be “ less white” but if I do that won’t they accuse me of cultural appropriation?

Yes they will. Waking up yet?

2.When Joe Biden excuses the Chinese torture, murder and genocide of the Uygurs as a “ cultural norm” in China, one wonders if the same would apply to Hitler in Joe’s book.

And then we wonder, will Trump supporters be tortured and murdered as the Democrats’ “ cultural norm?”

Makes you think. Why would he excuse China? Justification for his own evil?

3. If the Biden Administration requires reporters to pay $170.00 for a Covid test each time they come to the White House press room, isn’t that suppression of the free press? Smaller outlets can’t afford that.

By Any Means Necessary; Sports and Politics

The phrase “by any means necessary” is a quote from Malcom X. It means that people who wish to achieve a goal need to do whatever they need to whether it is legal, ethical, etc or not. It can be heard as a battle cry in different civil rights groups.

But, it seems like the phrase applies to much more.

I knew John Geddart. We weren’t close friends, but as one of eight volunteer Regional Chairmen for USA Gymnastics ( and then National Chairman of my respective committee), I often sat on committees with him at meetings. John was a successful coach and also a volunteer regional officer for his region, which included Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Illinois, and several other states. As volunteers, we worked mainly with the age group programs for gymnastics. These were programs that were a level below the elite program for Olympic hopefuls. I didn’t really care for John. He was brash, arrogant, and egotistical. But, I never expected the way his life ended.

During this time, the early to late 90’s to the mid 2000’s, US Gymnastics was in a state of growth and progression. Our international athletes were gaining recognition and success competitively. It was something we had never experienced before. In 1996 in Atlanta, the Magnificent 7 won the team gold for the first time ever, putting us on the map.

During this time, John was coaching and had reached a point with his athletes where he would almost get them to the Olympic level, only to have them come up just short. I’m sure it frustrated him. USA Gymnastics, even though they had success in 96 were going through growing pains. In 2000, 2004, and 2008, the U.S. team came up just short of team gold. But, since we had individual All-Around Gold medalists at that point, one would think that there could be some satisfaction. There wasn’t.

So things changed. The training regimine for athletes became dictated at a central level. The selection process, once determined strictly by an athlete’s finish at Nationals and the Olympic Trials, was handed over to a “selection committee. ” This was to assure the correct athletes were chosen to guarantee a team gold medal. For coaches and athletes, this increased the pressure to almost unbearable levels. Athletes practiced at the famous Karolyi Ranch. This is where Larry Nassar gained access to athletes with his successful sports medicine ” techniques.”

Larry also worked at John’s gym.

This is where the quote from Malcolm X is connected. If you were a coach or athlete at this time, you did whatever you needed to do to reach that Olympic Goal. USA Gymnastics also did whatever they needed to do to get the Olympic gold. Olympic gold meant HUGE money for the organization, the coach and the athlete.

For some coaches, this meant harsh coaching tactics. It meant an athlete’s unwillingness to work through excessive pain was a weakness and the coach needed to force her to ignore suffering and possible long term damage. It meant coaches needed to have full control, physically and mentally, of that athlete.

John reached his Olympic goal in 2012 with a young athlete named Jordyn Weiber who became World Champion and then made the Olympic team. She was practically a shoe in to be the Olympic Champion in the All Around and then with the team. But then, she faltered in the All Around and her spot for the finals went to another U.S. gymnast, Gabby Douglass who won the gold. Thankfully, the team won the gold, but it seemed that John was not satisfied. He didn’t get that All Around Champion he wanted. His attitude became angry and sullen.

In 2018, Larry Nassar was charged with sexual assault of hundreds of athletes and was sentenced to prison for the rest of his life.

At the same time, there were rumblings about John. He sold his gym and eventually stopped coaching. USA Gymnastics suspended him as they did several other coaches for severe coaching strategies and abuses. And then, yesterday, he was indicted on child abuse, sexual and physical, human trafficking, and racketeering. Instead of turning himself in, he shot himself to death.

John had wanted Olympic champions. And, with that goal in mind, he tried to do it by any means necessary, regardless of the harm it did to many young women. And the USA Gymnastics Organization and Olympic Committee turned their heads, because they believed that too. Only the end result mattered.

So, here is where politics comes in. It seems to me that we have gotten to a point in politics where ” by any means necessary” is the guiding principal of at least one party. Democrats commit election fraud to get a certain result. Then they propose a bill to allow them to continue the practice in future elections. They install an old dementia patient in office to do what they want. They attempt to destroy a sitting President both during his term and after. They call his followers ” domestic terrorists” and target them. They allow men to destroy women’s sports through crazy laws for transgenders, destroy millions of jobs, and wreck our economy with illegal aliens who suck up federal funds and take American jobs.

By any means necessary. No matter who is hurt. No matter who or what is destroyed. Rules don’t apply, ethics don’t apply. Basic human decency doesn’t apply. It’s the same whether it is sports or politics.

John Geddert met his end because ” by any means necessary” led him to commit heinous and immoral acts to win. He took the coward’s way out, leaving his wife and family to suffer for his sins.

Let’s hope that the Democrats who believe ” any means necessary” to achieve their goals find a similar ending for themselves while the rest of us still have a country left.

Who is in Charge and Who are They Serving?

Every time Joe Biden appears in public, people become more aware that he is not mentally competent. He can’t speak, even when reading off a teleprompter, he loses focus, shuffles around like a patient in a nursing home, and is constantly accompanied by “handlers” including his wife Jill.

Even those who voted for him admit something is not right. Many of them are extremely unhappy with his many Executive Orders which have cost them jobs, money, etc. They wonder where these ideas came from since they were not part of the Presidential campaign. Of course, who really knew since he spent most of the campaign in hiding.

Not only that, but his cabinet is constructed of people who are not only incompetent, but as mentally deficient as he is. They can’t even answer simple questions during their confirmations. To the A.G.nominee, “Is it terrorism to attack a Federal Building?” Answer: ” Not if it’s at night when no one is there.” What? The nominee for HHS Secretary, ” Do you support gender reassignment therapy for young children?” Answer: crickets. And by the way, HE didn’t have to answer. His appearance lets us know.

And yes, I said ” HE.” He is no more a woman than a fish is a giraffe.

So, with all these really divisive decisions going on, who really is in charge? It’s clear that Biden, despite being a hack politician for over 40 years, never would have done these on his own. He has never indicated that any of these ideas fit his belief system, and his demeanor shows he is just going through the motions.

But, these decisions and the recent attack on Syria do show us who is in charge. It’s a person who thinks he is the smartest person in the room and whose narcissistic personality can’t stand that Trump undid so many of the programs enacted in his regime. It’s a person who loves division, feeds off of it, and wants to enact another Presidential term or two, even if it is by proxy.

But wait, you say, aren’t the Democrats going to get rid of Joe in order to put Kamala Harris in place? Could she be who is in charge?

I don’t think so. First of all, Harris has never distinguished herself as a Socialist visionary. She has never presented as an inspiring figure that the masses can rally around. Yes, she’s a woman and is a self proclaimed “woman of color,” but other than that, she’s actually less inpirational than Hillary Clinton. She didn’t even poll well in her home state of California. She is no less of a puppet than Biden. She was added to the ticket primarily because she is a woman and she is politically bland. Democrats used her as the token female to get Joe elected. And, when they do retire Joe to the glue factory, she will be an easily led stooge.

But, back to Obama. You probably wonder how I can think he is in charge when he has stayed out of the picture so much. He barely endorsed Joe. He has been relatively quiet since Joe was installed. A couple of reasons.

First, the fact that he has been so quiet is telling. When Trump was elected, Obama couldn’t keep his mouth shut, commenting on EVERYTHING Trump did. And, instead of leaving D.C., he bought a home a few blocks from the White House. During the last few months of his term, Obama even hinted at the fact that he thought he could be elected for a third term. So, his silence now tells me that he is getting everything said and done behind the scenes and doesn’t need a public face.

Not that it won’t happen. He is already speaking out on topics a little at a time. In a recent “podcast” with Bruce Springsteen, Obama lamented that he couldn’t get reparations for slavery through in his term because of those mean old Republicans in the Senate and House. The message is clear and it is ” boy, if I had the Congress Joe has now I could REALLY get my agenda through.” And then he throws in a dig at white Americans just for good measure, to remind us that he is half Black. It’s a call to his base.

Let’s also remember how little respect Obama had for Biden. As a VP, Biden was kept in the same basement he occupied during the election. Obama knew Joe was prone to gaffes, screw ups, and stupidity. He once said, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up. ” Joe said himself that he had never been in certain areas of the White House because Obama didn’t invite him there. It’s clear Obama saw Joe as inferior to him which made Biden his perfect VP and somewhat of an insurance policy against any move to remove Obama from the Presidency. After all, who would want that idiot Joe as President?

But, if that is true, why did Obama want him “elected”? We know that the conspiracy to get Joe “elected” could not have been enacted by the Biden camp. No one there had the connections, intellect or tactics to get it done. Obama did. And he knew the press and the deep state would cover for him. This was something even the Clinton Crime Machine could not have achieved!

But, again. Why? Why Joe Biden? First, at 78, dementia stricken and feeble, it will be fairly easy to get Joe out of the way. And, I almost wonder if Joe wasn’t either fooled about this because he does have dementia or if he went along just because it would be the ultimate sacrifice for the cause. Some people will do anything just to say they achieved a certain title. ( Oh, and please don’t say his family wouldn’t have allowed it. His wife and family are ambition driven as much as he is. )

And, Joe will do what they say. He hasn’t had an original thought in 47 years and he won’t have one now. If his actions make him look stupid, so much better for Kamala if and when she steps in. Recently, she said she was angry that she was ” out of the loop” on the recent attack of Syria. She conveiniently washed her hands of the whole thing. Distancing and plausible deniability, something Obama is teaching her. That, and the promise of possibly being the first woman President is probably all the enticement she needs.

As we continue, I think things will continue to deteriorate. I think the Democrats will use any means to achieve what they want. They are already setting March 4th up as a possible day when there will be violence in D.C. despite the fact that they have ignored the violent events by BLM in recent weeks. If they can create another staged event which condemns Trump supporters, they can further implement their agenda of division and purging while allowing Joe to be the bad guy.

And, who does this serve in the long run? In my opinion, Obama and all of his ilk across the globe, are being managed by groups like the World Economic Forum and the large banks of the world. The ultimate aim is to get everyone under the same, yes, one world government. Will it happen? I certainly hope not. If it does, our lives as individuals with freedom is over.

When God Circles Back

It’s funny and somewhat comforting when events come together in what some people might call coicidence but I call God circling back.

I know that you will all recognize the “circle back” reference to current events. It seems that Biden Press Secretary uses that phrase whenever she can’t answer a question from the press. It happens a lot. She doesn’t seem to have many answers about what is happening.

I’m using that phrase to describe the answers that someone else gives us, someone who knows the answers; God.

There are times when we all feel like we need to know how to evaluate life’s circumstances and what to do about them. If we wait long enough, I believe God will show us. He will circle back with answers.

Today was such a day. I had been feeling somewhat lost about the current state of this country and what I could do. It caused me quite a bit of frustration. But, events and information was placed in front of me that showed me what I could and should do.

I was listening to “Give Him 15” with Dutch Sheets as he talked about the Devil in the Bible and how slick and crafty he was. He deceived Adam and Eve causing them to lose the Garden of Eden. He continued to deceive others to do his will, including the crucifixion of Christ. He thought he had won when Christ died, but he hadn’t. It was all God’s plan.

Now, it seems he is at work again, fooling so many people in our country, leading them to believe things that are not as they appear. Some are so deceived that they are completing acts that are destroying this country, our freedom, and the lives of millions. But God has a plan. It is the plan that will save us.

Some people think that just because God has a plan, our role in the plan doesn’t exist. However, he needs us to act. But, to do what? How do we fight the division, the hatred that seems to be growing everyday?

As it always seems to happen, the answers are always revealed with subtlety and grace.

Recently, my husband retired and I had hoped we would get started on much needed repairs on our 40 year old home. As much as we tried to get things started, it never happened. Finally, the other day, I was doing wash when a soft spot we discovered in our laundry room floor gave way and I found myself with one leg through the crawl space and on the ground while the other assumed the “hurdler” position on our floor. Not comfortable.

It was a wake up call to us both that we needed to get things going. But, it was so overwhelming! Then, in a conversation my 29 year old daughter told me to take it one thing at a time or else the amount of work to be done would seem to be impossible. We needed to make a plan and break the task into steps. It was her advice that sparked us making that plan and taking the first step. A seemingly awful event, falling through the floor, became a part of the plan. Our first step? Get a dumpster and rid ourselves of the junk and allow ourselves to move forward with repairs.

But God wasn’t done letting us in on what to do with the problems of this country.

I had a conversation with Curtis, a friend at the gym who is a preacher. We often talk and our topics can range from sports to theology. Curtis is a preacher and a very good, down to earth man. I shared with Curtis the thoughts I had about our current state of affairs. I said, ” I know God is in charge. but it’s so hard.” That’s when Curtis reminded me that when we really do believe God is in control, then we should let that wash over us and guide us. As we discussed further, he reminded me that this doesn’t mean we don’t act, but that we act as our faith directs us, with kindness. It’s hard to do when people are rude and confrontational with us, but we must understand when to let those things go. The same applies to Social Media and the constant upheaval it and the news media encourage. Only when we rid ourselves of those distractions will we be able to take actions to make things better.

It all clicked. In order to fight the evil going on right now, we need to acknowledge God’s plan, have faith in it, break it down into the steps he leads us to, get rid of the junk noise of modern media, and make the change one act at a time.

It all makes perfect sense.

God had circled back. But, unlike the clueless White House Press Secretary, He circled back with real answers and wisdom as well as the comfort of knowing we can create positive change.

Social Credits in Order to Live: Coming Soon to a Country Near You

I started a thirty day ban on Facebook yesterday evening. It’s not the first time I have been banned. But I have never been banned for this long. And all because I used the word “pussy” to describe Senator Graham. Are they kidding? I’ve been called worse and reported it to Facebook and they said it was fine that someone would say that about me. Why? Because I am a Conservative.

My previous bans have been for articles I posted from a website Facebook didn’t like. And, the funny thing is, they would site the “post” and it wasn’t what I posted. So, I guess they just didn’t like the person whose web page it was on.

I have appealed in the past, which is a joke. You can spend fifteen minutes appealing your ban. They tell you they are understaffed and it may take a while to review your appeal and then you get an answer one minute later. Appeal denied. So, again, the truth is Facebook doesn’t like Conservatives and they want to get rid of us. (I also wonder if it is a cumulative effect for me because I have been posting articles and information about the bias of their fact checkers and challenging FB about that. Who knows.)

What we are seeing, however, is the beginning of a “social credit” system modeled after China’s. And if you don’t think it is, you are blissfully unaware.

In China, social credit is a government program that regulates people’s social behavior by giving or taking away ” social credit points” for certain things that are found on court documents, reported by other “citizens,” or discovered in corporate/government records.

Do the “right” things, as designated by the government as “ for the greater good” , and you get discounts, perks, preference on bank loans, etc.

Do the wrong things and you could lose privileges. For example, traffic violations, posting “faulty” information, smoking where smoking is not allowed, buying or playing too many video games, or selling a product that is faulty are all ways to get put on a government “black list.” The black listing could cause you to be denied airline flights or have your children denied entry into a university. Get the picture?

The system was introduced in 2014 by China’s “State Council” and was touted as a way to ” allow the trustworthy to roam everywhere under heaven while making it hard for the discredited to take a single step.”

So, in other words, you won’t be able to live. You are, in similar words to what Facebook does, “banned.” The system has been implemented in several cities and is slated to go country wide soon.

That couldn’t happen here, could it? We are a free country. We have Constitutional rights. Yeah. Okay.

Think about this for a moment. If you go without a mask in public, can you walk in any store and buy products? Can you get on public transportation? Can you get medical care? Probably not in most states. I’m sure you are thinking that this is just because of Covid 19 and when that is gone, the restrictions will be gone. Will they? I’m not so sure. We already have states like New York that are considering MANDATING that all citizens get the Covid vaccine. They will get an electronic “certificate” that will allow them in public. This is already being done in Israel. No certification, no grocery store, travel, etc. You get social credit for the vaccine, you get banned if you don’t get it.

Even outside the Covid 19 situation, look at what companies are doing to Trump supporters or companies that supported Trump. MIke Lindell of MY PILLOW has lost retailers for his product because he supported Trump. Senators/Congressmen who supported Trump are being locked out of certain banks for their campaign funds. Trump himself has been removed from certain social media sites. Banks he has dealt with for decades are no longer doing business with him. Some people even want the government to take away his property in Florida. All because they don’t like him and want him banned.

But, that’s not the government, right? They are private businesses and can do what they want.

But the government is going down that road as well. Aside from conducting impeachment proceedings on him twice, Congress has attempted to keep him from running for any public office again. Congressmen and Senators who supported Trump and questioning the election results are threatened with removal by their colleagues. Even some in their own parties are removing them from important committees. Bannishment.

They won’t stop with that. They are already targeting those in the police and military who have expressed pro Trump sentiments or even religious beliefs. They want them gone. There is currently a bill in Congress that would deny anyone ACCUSED of domestic terrorism the right to hold a public office, own a gun, and travel on airlines. That’s ACCUSED not found gulity. Even if you are found innocent, the restrictions will stand. And the definition of domestic terrorism is broad and ambigous. It could merely include a person going to a peaceful demonstration, a right guaranteed by the Constitution or stating a certain opinion online.

Hey, what does that sound like? Why it sounds like what happens when you are banned from Facebook. You are accused of something. There is no appeal. Interesting.

I’m sure there are some Democrats out there that love this idea. They will embrace the “it’s for the good of all” philosophy with open arms. After all, it’s only going to punish those they don’t like or agree with. Just like in China, the Democrats and the compliant will be able to do whatever they want because they will follow ALL the rules.

Once again, look at all the mask wearing Covid zealots who will report you or a business for a violation, and will do it quite proudly.

Problem is, rules change. They are changed to fit whatever whims and social constructs the government and the mob wants to that point. And one day, those good little compliant sheep will find themselves on the wrong side of the social credit balance for doing something they thought was their right or that was acceptable a short time ago.

And there will be no appeal. They will be banned like the rest of us.

I Just Can’t Be Less White No Matter How Hard I Try

I tried. I really did.

But it just didn’t work.

When I saw that Coca Cola was teaching its employees to “try to be less white” I thought I would take their advice. After all, they are Coca Cola, one of the biggest corporations in the world. Certainly, if they are suggesting something, it’s a good thing to do, right?

So, I thought, how can I be less white? I saw their suggestions:” be less oppressive,” “be less arrogant,” “be less certain,” “be less defensive,” “be less ignorant,” “be more humble,” “listen,” “believe,” “break with apathy,” and to “break with white solidarity.”

I tried each one. The first one was easy, since I don’t have the power or money to oppress anyone. My dogs might feel “oppressed” occasionally when I don’t let them eat table food, but that’s about it. I’m not “arrogant” in general because I have nothing to be arrogant about. I will admit to being “certain” quite often, but I think that might be more because of my age and religious belief. And, honestly, what does it mean to be less certain? Does it mean I act like I don’t know facts or can’t decide what I want for breakfast? I work at not being “ignorant” every day by thinking, reading, and asking questions. But, I am sure there are things I don’t know. Does that make me ignorant?

As for humility, I guess we could all work more on that, as we could on listening and believing as well. ( Although it’s a little hard to believe some of the crap being spewed on social media these days).

As for apathy, I had no idea that we were an item. I’m generally not apathetic about most things, and those things I am apathetic about I am not aware of. Hard to not care about something you don’t know you aren’t caring about.

As for “white solidarity” I guess I would like an explanation of what that means for white people or actually anyone. Solidarity is defined as “unity (as of a group or class) that produces or is based on a community of interests, objectives or standards. ” So I guess that means that you are in total agreement with anyone who shares your interests, objectives, or standards. Hmmmm. First of all, I don’t totally agree with anyone on everything. And if solidarity is based on interests, objectives or standards, I guess I could have solidarity with many groups, runners, citizens of Oxford, members of my gym, retired teachers, etc. But, since those groups include so many different races, that’s not “white” solidarity.

Now, maybe I am being defensive. Okay, I’ll give you that. But, let me ask anyone out there, if you were told not to be as much of the race that you are, wouldn’t you be a little defensive? If I asked my black friends to stop being “so black” don’t you think they would be defensive? Or my Hispanic friends? Or my gay friends? Of course they would be. Who wants to be told that what you are is wrong? Bad? These are not personality traits we are talking about, these are generalizations made on skin color. These are assumptions about you because of your ethnic group. You’re damn right anyone would be defensive.

So, here’s the bottom line. I have been white my entire life. I didn’t choose it. I can’t stop it. And I won’t apologize for it.

Here’s what I will do instead. Instead of being “less white” I think I will continue to try to be more human. I will try to be the best I can be by being more generous, more caring, and more cognizant of the fact that skin color and ethnic background doesn’t stop us from being Americans and members of the human race. And that means I won’t ask anyone else to be “less” of their ethnic group in order to check some box off a poorly considered and clumsily adapted program of division and indoctrination. Ever.

And I will never purchase Coke products again.

The Art of Endlessly Admiring the Problem

As a thirty year educator, an officer in one large sports organization, and someone who has participated on many committees, I think I have spent a TON of time with other well meaning people doing one thing; admiring the problem.

Let me explain. It seems that any time there is a problem that affects a large population of people in the community or system, committees are formed, some blue ribbon, some exploratory, and some just plain old committees. They always start out with good intentions. Everyone wants to solve a problem as quickly and as effectively as possible. Members are recruited, meetings are planned, agendas are sent, goals are set.

Most of the time is spent discussing the problem, why it happened, how it happened, and even whose fault it is. Everyone gets their say. At some point, people start proposing solutions to the problem. That’s usually where committees get stuck. It seems that any solution requires something that can’t be done, is too expensive, offends someone, or is perceived as ineffective. Round and round the discussion goes, and the admiration of the problem begins.

The phrase means what was just described; all that discussion devolving into repeating how awful the problem is and how we can’t solve it. Why?

Because no one usually wants to tell the truth about what the problem really is and the difficult solutions that need to be tried.

And so nothing changes.

I think we might be in a place in our country and our world where we can no longer sit around and admire the problem of what is going on instead of solving it.

But it won’t be easy. Hard things need to be said and done. Here are just a few:

  1. Our school system has opted in to indoctrination over education. It is being run by sell outs who have only the advancement of their careers in mind when they make decisions. They are controlled by the teachers’ unions and the political class. They need to be removed. Parents need to get off the sidelines and either get involved in the public schools or get involved. They need to speak out at Board and PTA meetings.
  2. Colleges and Universities who train students to be mindless social justice warriors and who ban free speech need to be “canceled.” Parents need to stop spending money on expensive tuition, forcing their kids into student loans for degrees that don’t lead to good jobs, and using the names of these schools as cocktail party conversation. Yes, children’s egos will be bruised and they may not go to their “dream school.” But, in the long run, isn’t it more important that our young people get to debate ideas openly and work toward fulfilling and good paying occupations? The answer is yes. And they will appreciate it later.
  3. Stop allowing your children to act like disrespectful jerks and teach them manners, conversation skills, and that you, the parent, are in charge. Teach them how to listen to different ideas and perspectives and to state their ideas and opinions with facts and civility. Help them understand that shouting someone else down, calling them names, and destroying property are not the way to get real change.
  4. Be prepared to make politically incorrect and even “offensive” observations. I don’t mean to openly seek to insult people, but we all have to be honest about our thoughts. Sometimes that will get messy, but we can’t keep hdiing behind niceities when real action is required. Think of it like family, sometimes you just have to tell the truth as you see it to clear the air.
  5. Quit allowing others to shut you down with lables such as racist, xenophobe, conspiracy theorist, etc. Laugh at them when they call you names and realize it is their only way to “refute” your argument since they have no facts. Understand that this might impact you at work or in your social circles. You cannot be afraid to be disliked or even demoted or fired at work.
  6. Find groups that are focused on real action to make change in government, in education, etc. It will take time and commitment, but nothing happens without hard work. If all a group does is meet and complain, they won’t accomplish anything.
  7. Become educated. Read current news, history, research, economics, etc. And educated citizen is a citizen who can make judgements in an informed way.
  8. Get out of your echo chamber. Talk to people who don’t think like you. Do it in person, not over social media. One of the disastrous results of the fake pandemic and shut down is that it has kept people from having meaningful interactions IN PERSON. When you meet someone in person, it is harder to dismiss them and for them to dismiss you. Reach across political, racial and economic lines to do so.
  9. Organize political non-violent protests. Get your ideas and opinions heard.

There are other actions, and I encourage you to sit down and make a plan. Work with other like minded people. And when you do, make it clear that admiring the problem is not the end goal.

Will Anyone Stand Up to Tyranny?

I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that as Joe Biden does more crazy things, the SILENCE from others in the government is more deafening.

Biden has said and done these things:

  1. Destroyed ten of thousands of jobs and an economical source for energy, assuring that prices at the gas pump will skyrocket. And they have.
  2. Destroyed women’s sports by allowing biological men to compete against biological women.
  3. Endangered biological women by allowing biological men in their restrooms and dressing rooms.
  4. Destabilized our electrical grid by allowing China to have access to it.
  5. Removed the barriers to hundreds of thousands of illegals to come to this country without exception. And without being tested for Covid.
  6. Increased our military presence in the Middle East after Trump had brought almost all of them home.
  7. Accused our military and police of being white supremacists and began a purge of those who have Conservative and religious values.
  8. Installed tyrannical mask and travel restrictions on citizens.
  9. Turned a blind eye to the ethnic cleansing of the Uyghurs by China, saying it was ” national custom.”

And let’s not forget that it is not just Joe Biden, but the actions of Nancy Pelosi that need to be called out. Along with her strange obsession with impeaching Trump and removing him from existence, she recently hired one of the most racist, mentally deranged people I have ever heard to investigate the Capitol Police. This guy, Russel Honore’, a so-called Lt. General in what branch I have no idea (If you ask me, he looks like one of Castro’s men) straight up hates white people, Conservatives, Trump and anyone who agrees with Trump.

All these things add up to moving our country to a Socialist, totalitarian hell. And, have you heard anything from Republicans?

Oh wait, Mitch “The Turtle” McConnell made a statement. He blasted Trump. Then he doubled down on that with an “op ed” in the New York Times that repeated the criticism. That was about it except for an occasional brave Congressmen and Senator who were then immediately removed from postitions of influence.

Why is that? What the hell is going on? Why won’t they speak up for us?

Fear? Maybe. After all, the Democrats are known for their organized crime/cartel like tactics. Cuomo in New York threatens a New York Legislator with ruin for suggesting the Governor be impeached for causing thousands of nursing home residents to die through his negligence with Covid. Pelosi, a member of an organized crime family from Baltimore, hires a head of Capitol Police who hates white people and is not adverse to violence against them . And don’t forget the violence threatened by Antifa and BLM on anyone who doesn’t approve of the leftist agenda. And, there’s always the Clinton cartel. They “suicide” people like it’s their job.

So, I guess they could be fearful. But, if they are too fearful to do their jobs, they need to resign. We need warriors right now, not cupcakes. The CCP, who is not afraid to kill or destroy dissenters, is on the verge of owning us. If they take over, we are done.

Bribery? This is always a consideration. Let’s face it, our officials go into government middle class and come out extremely wealthy. While the citizens, the middle class, can’t pay them enough to represent us, huge organizations can, and do. Drug companies, energy companies, big tech companies, other countries, all throw huge amounts of money at them. And once they take a bribe, they can never stop or they will be found out.

The thing about taking dirty bribes is that sooner or later they bite you in the ass when the balance must be paid . There is no honor among crooks and there is always someone who will rat them out. I look forward to the day that someone turns on Mitch or Mitt and they are carted off to jail.

Extortion? It’s clear that we don’t have the best and brightest in government. The mere fact that Congress maintains a “slush fund” to cover sexual harassment and assault law suits against members is a clear indicator that these folks have serious, disgusting flaws. Can anyone forget the Fang Fang Banger, Swalwell? HIs indiscretions may not have cost him, because he is protected by the Democrat Cartel. ( I wonder when Nancy will come to collect on Fart Boy’s debt to her?) Republicans are not protected by anyone in or out of the party. With all the ways that information and evidence can be discovered and shared, the mere threat of exposure keeps many of them quiet. If one is a Republican, even a jay walking offense can get you canned. And, God forbid you express an opinion that is against the Democrat Machine.

Diconnection? In other words, they don’t give a damn? I think in many cases this is the reason they are so quiet. Look at D.C. NEVER IN HISTORY has it been so guarded outside of war. Our “leaders” sit inside the D.C. bubble and are insulated against whatever happens to us. If the economy tanks, they are protected. If there is famine, they will still eat. Their families, their children and grandchildren, will never have to worry about any of these things. So, speaking out for us is just not on their agenda.

So, who WILL speak out for us? I think we have to realize that it is just us who will have to do the hard work.

Problem is, people are so frustrated and angry. At some point, when people feel they are not being heard and represented, they lose it. Thomas Jefferson called free speech the valve that allows pent up steam to escape. I’m not advocating violence, but it won’t be me making that choice.

1429 Days Remaining- Action-Parents, Ask Questions!

If you are the parent of a school aged child, I am sure you are overwhelmed right now by all this virtual, hybrid, and even in person schooling. Some of you are being asked to be your child’s teacher while others are being told to not watch Zoom classes your child is viewing. This is all very concerning and I think we know this is NOT good for kids.

Today, however, I want to focus on WHAT your child is being taught when they are in school. As a former teacher, I am shocked at the indoctrination, misinformation, and LACK of content kids are being exposed to.

I’m even more shocked that the public schools seem intent on hiding what they are teaching from parents.

Yesterday, I heard of a situation in my home county where someone has been asking for a copy of the Social Studies Curriculum and specifically how it incorporates the 1619 framework, since AUGUST. Here is a link to that framework so you can see it for yourself: https://pulitzercenter.org/lesson-plan-grouping/1619-project-curriculum.She has asked all the way to the Superintendent and nothing, nada. I was shocked. I worked in the system for over 30 years and was actually the Social Studies Specialist at one point. NEVER would I EVER have told a taxpayer they couldn’t see our curriculum. And if I had told them no, I would have been called on the carpet.

So, what are they hiding? Who knows. Trust me, there are many things schools systems don’t tell parents and the community. We think the School Boards are our advocates and will help us find the info, but many times their hands are tied by Board and System lawyers who will shut them down when they get too close to finding information.

So, how do parents find out what their children are being taught?

You have to be relentless. This is YOUR child. It is your child’s educaton and it is vitaly important to his/her success in life. You cannot be shy, you cannot be passive. Here are some things you can do.

  1. If school is in person, you need to volunteer when you can to help in the school. The PTA is a good way to start. Being in the school as a volunteer and talking to other parents and the teachers will not only allow you to get a sense of the personality of the school, but also to find out what goes on day to day.
  2. If you are stuck in virtual mode, you have to make a point of watching and listening to what is going on. You have to keep quiet during lessons, but keep your eyes and ears open. Take notes. If a school says you can’t do that, then there is a problem and you will need to address that at the school and district level. Older students might resist you “snooping” but like I used to tell my kids, “My House, my business.” If you hear something that you think is inappropriate, be prepared to follow the chain of command and ask about it with the teacher first, then the principal, then the Superintendent, and finally the school board. Don’t just let it slide.
  3. Know who is teaching your child. You have the right to know the professional resume of the teacher and their experience. Most teachers have a very limited social media presence because school districts have told them to be discreet, but you can still search the teacher’s social media accounts. It sounds creepy, but it is someone who is in an influential position with your child. You may not see much, but it doesn’t hurt to try. Remember, teachers are allowed to have a personal life! All teachers are required by law to have a background checks, but those don’t cover statements that disclose attitudes and values.
  4. Ask to see curriculum, yearly plans and frameworks and instructional materials that are used. All materials are supposedly reviewed by the school board before they are adopted, but sometimes problems do escape the notice of busy school board members. As a citizen, you have a right to view these.
  5. Attend school board meetings. Get to know school board members. WARNING: These meetings can be long and boring, but you can learn so much about what is going on in the system. And, if you have an issue you want addressed, you can get on the agenda and speak.

Your child depends on you to advocate for him/her. Put aside whatever awkwardness you may feel or the idea that you don’t know what to do or say, and get in there. If you don’t understand vocabulary or the acronyms they use, ask. Educators LOVE acronyms and will use them excessively, but don’t let that throw you. In fact, ask for explanations for anything you don’t understand.

Finally, remember that these people work for YOU, not the other way around. And, remember, this is YOUR child, not theirs.

  1. If your child comes home and says something about what he/she was taught that sounds strange or inappropriate, it is important that you listen and then follow up with the teacher. Sometimes kids misunderstand things. BUT, sometimes they are telling you what actually happened. If need be, meet with the teacher and the principal.
  2. If your child is doing virtual learning, I also think you need to know the parameters of how that will be done. Will you child be provided a laptop by the school? If your child is on camera, how will the school protect your child’s privacy as well as your own? One of the issues that has come up is what is seen by other students or teachers in the virtual class. Almost everyone knows the story about the parents who had the police show up at their home searching for guns. Why? Their child had BB guns in the background during a lesson and the teacher reported the family to the police. Also be careful about any agreement you need to sign previous to the virtual learning. Make sure you know what you are agreeing to.
  3. Ask about your parental rights and how they are protected by the school system, particularly as schools implement grants that provide mental health counseling for children. Sometimes as these programs are initiated children who have not expressed problems are interviewed in order to provide more subjects for the counseling. It’s almost as if they need to justify the program so they find kids. You need to know if you will be informed of what is happening with your child while in counseling. Again, your rights need to be protected.

The one thing you can do to make sure your children understand and have the values you want them to have is to get involved. Sometimes you may have to provide exposure to these values at home through books, movies, etc. And, the most important thing to do is to talk to your kids and help them learn how to think for themselves.
