Plato wrote: “The beginning of wisdom is to wonder why.”
Wow. Who knew that Plato was such a stupid, despicable person. Why does anyone even read what he wrote or debate what he said? It’s obvious…
Plato was a conspiracy theorist.
How do I know? I know because he valued questioning everything. He asked “why.”
I don’t know if you noticed, but if you question anything the Left says nowadays, you are are instantly labeled a “conspiracy theorist.” And, the Left is in the process of making that a condemning accusation. If you are called a conspiracy theorist, it qualifies you as stupid, racist, irrational, crazy and on and on.
In Communist China and any other Communist and totalitarian society, the first step to cleansing the state of anyone who disagrees with them is to lable them and separate them. They do this through media and culture. Take the practice of Falun Gong. When the Chinese Communist Party arbitrarily decided they didn’t like millions of people in their country adopting this spiritual practice, they began by seeding the state news media with created stories about “bad” things the practioners did. They characterized practioners as cultists and damaging to society. They also made fun of them as stupid people following a stupid religion. Soon this progressed to arrests, re-education camps, and executions. International observers called that as “genocide.” In 2006, it was alleged that practioners of Falun Gong were killed to provide organs for transplants.
Where are we on the spectrum? Well, let’s see. People who ask “why” about the election and Covid are currently being banned and removed from Facebook and Twitter. This is being done because they are supposedly spreading dangerous information. In D.C., Congress claims it is keeping the National Guard around to prevent against crazy Trump conspiracy theorists who may attack the Capitol at any time. And, on the famous no longer funny Saturday Night Live, skits ridiculing those who question the legitimacy of the election are a weekly feature.
And, today, on a post regarding closing schools for Covid, an arrogant thirty something “know it all” Covid cultist, called everyone who questioned any part of the current Covid practices ” a nutty Conspiracy Theorist.” The sad thing is that she really thinks she knows better about Covid than two first responders and a hospital nurse. The 30 something is a Veterinarian. And she lives in Virginia, home of the famous black face wearing Governor, Ralph Northam. I’ll bet she voted for him and for Biden.
She thought that was the worst thing she could call all of us. She thought she wounded each one of us fatally. Not hardly.
We are like Plato, a man whose name and writings will live forever. We believe asking questions is a good thing that should be encouraged.
It’s okay though, because I think this obedient little citizen will come to a point in her life where she thinks something isn’t right and will question it.
I hope I am there to see it so I can remind her that she said asking questions defines people as ” crazies” and conspiracy theorists. I can’t wait.
