2021 Sheepish Awards – Part 2

TODAY IS THE DAY! It’s the last day of 2021 and time for the BIG awards for 2021.

Don’t know about you, but I can’t wait. I won’t review the process for selection, you can go read yesterday’s blog for that. Let me just say that no expense is spared, or spent, to make sure this is all very fair.

We have the National category today. So, put on your designer duds, your woke lapel pins, and read along.

National:

First up, the Communication Awards. In the spirit of Joseph Goebbels, we have named these awards the “Big Lie Awards.” As he said, ” If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”

First up in this category, “Best Lie Told About a Person Being Held Hostage.” This award goes to Rochelle Walensky, CDC Director. If you look at this picture of her below, you can see that she is talking while keeping her eyes squarely on her kidnappers who are obviously brandishing big, old, AK-47’s. Have you noticed how so many in the Biden regime have this look?

But, like a trooper, Ms. Wolensky marched on and told SO many lies about Covid. Remember? These are some of her top missives: “Wear a mask, stay 6 feet apart, get tested, quarantine for 14 days, the vaccine is safe, it protects you etc.” NOW, the CDC changes their tune. Right after telling people the PCR tests were basically useless and could show a positive results for more than two weeks AFTER a person was tested AND that they couldn’t tell the difference between Covid, a cold, and a dinner with garlic ( the last one is my creation), we now have the quarantine period of FIVE days. Why? Because people were getting pissed about 14 and even 10 days. Science, right?

BUT, the best lie of all was the vaccine lie. This was a lie that possibly killed tens of thousands of people and injured many more. It was that the vaccines were safe and would keep you from being infected, infecting others, etc. This preceded the realization that they WEREN’T safe and effective and now we need BOOSTERS forever. Even the most devoted Covid cultists started to look at this one with distrust.

A warning to the first recipient of this award, from Goebbel’s again, ” The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie.” Watch out Rochele. Being held hostage is one thing, being held prisoner is quite another.

This next award will be split between two individuals. It is the most lies by a person in a government role. This is the Josef Goebbels Propaganda Individual Voice Award.” The first co-winner is known as “Fire Crotch” to her friends. You may know her as the Biden regime’s Press Secretary, Jen Psaki.

Despite the fact that the lies she tells for Biden are often in conflict with reality, prior statements, what the President says,or even common sense, Jen perserveres and circles back often. Here’s a video of one of her epic performances:

You gotta love the look on her face when she gets ready to lie, don’t you?

The second recipient is someone who was in the running for SO many SHEEPIES this year, Mr. Science himself, Anthony Fauci. These two video clips show the master at work:

And this gem as he spars with Rand Paul:

https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/2021/11/watch-anthony-faucis-lies-exposed-he-makes-them-frontpagemagcom/

The telling part here is when he calls Senator Paul a liar. When you know they got you, put it back on them Tony!

Our co-winners, ladies and gentlemen and any other genders out there.

And we cannot leave the communication awards without special recognition of the best liars of all, CNN, MSNBC and all the other mainstream media. The best part is when they ALL lie with the same language:

Synchronized news is the best, isn’t it? We didn’t forget you guys, you all get a SHEEPIE!!!

From communication we move to our next category on the national scene, the AIM SHEEPIE, or Absolute Incompetence and Mediocrity Award. For the sake of fairness, and equity, we cannot give one person the award. So, we’ll just give one to ALL members of the Biden regime! Contrats guys! And girls! And Zims! And Zers!

Finally, on the national level, we have to give special recognition to three people who have absolutely outdone themselves this year. These very special awards are for two very special people, in the strongest sense.

The “Bring Me to My Knees” Award ( sponsored by Hoover) goes to the forever cackling and gesticulating Kamala Harris. For almost a year, we have watched her hone her skills so that she is ready at any point to fill in for Chairman Joe. She has dialed back any tiny bit of intelligence she ever had, has perfected the art of speaking in a weird French accent and saying nothing and moving her artificial arms for emphasis. Keep those word salads coming Kamala! And don’t ever forget that you’ve got “skills” girl if this VP thing doesn’t work out.

Our next award is the “Nurse Ratchett Award.” If you have never seen “What Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” you may want to look it up. There is no other person in this world who deserves this more than Jill ” I’m a PHD” Biden. Jill, as you know, will be spending the next three years ( or more) tending to a famous nursing home patient whose senility makes it tough for him to know where he is, who she is, and what the truth is and isn’t. From guiding him to the White House door, walking on the beach with him and making sure he comes back with her, and distracting him from sniffing children at every opportunity, Nurse Jill is always ready with some ice cream and an occasional flurry of sharp hand claps to keep her patient focused and going in the correct direction. Hang in there Jill, it won’t be much longer. And, besides, you got a new puppy! Which one will be potty trained first? Joe or Commander?

Our final recipient is getting a lifetime achievement award in the area of mediority. He has been around a really, really, really, really, really long time. And he is good at screwing things up.

So, for him, Joseph Robinette Biden, we have saved the “Barack Obama Never Underestimate the Ability of Joe to Fuck it Up” Award. ( Sorry for the vulgar word, but it’s what Obama said. Accuracy is important.)

There are so many examples of how Joe has honed the skill to eff things up and be a fool, from asking paralyzed people to stand up, thinking his sister is his wife ( how creepy is that), falling down the stairs to Air Force One, speaking in gibberish, forgeting the words of you know, the thing, and making up stories of his life that are untrue and/or impossible. He’s made a career of being a fool. Here’s a good example:

https://rumble.com/vrczp9-breaking-joe-biden-repeated-lets-go-brandon.html

So, here’s to you JOE! You earned this. And we are sure that you will work hard to earn it next year as well!!!!

So, tune in tomorrow for the State and local awards! We’ve had some AMAZING late entries!!!!

Happy New Years!

2021 SHEEPISH Awards

After one year of existence, Radio Free Oxford, in conjunction with Freedom’s Reign, is proud to reveal our 2021 SHEEPISH Awards ( or Sheepies, as we like to call them)

These awards have been determined by the mail in votes of our readers. If you didn’t get your ballot, we apologize but… Covid. Better luck next year when we hope to have Mark Zuckerturd set up many collection boxes across the country.

The Sheepies are given to recognize exceptional stupidity, corruption, arrogance, fraudulence, and even some fatulence, in the areas of national, state and local communities. The results of the totally honest and uncorrupted mail in vote have been verified by the firm of Dewey, Cheatem, and Howe and have been sealed hermetically in a big old brown envelope.

While we had planned a huge red carpet event, our budget and the horrible head cold called Omicron has prevented this. So, we will publish the results in this barely read and obscure blog.

The awards will be presented in installments. Today, we do the lesser awards. Oh, and by the way, we don’t distinguish between genders, so he, him, her, she, they, them, zim, zer to yer heart’s content!

So, on to the support awards.

THE SHEEPIES!!!

First, the more obscure awards.

In the area of set design, the SHEEPIE for CREATIVE USE OF SET DESIGN goes unanimously to the White House Set Designers. Not only have they mastered the art of green screen ( after a few boo boos) this year, but they hit a home run with this outstanding use of containers through a window of the fake WH while Biden explained that he was not responsible for the supply chain issues.

Next, the SHEEPIE for BEST PERFORMANCE BY A ROBOT IN A COMMERCIAL goes to:

Mark Zuckerburg in his commercial for META. Personally, this is such a great performance that the committee ( me) couldn’t tell when he was Mark and when he was his avatar. Well DONE!

He’s so CONVINCING! And funny!

There were a few runner’s up in this category. Lloyd Austin, Secretary of Defense, did his best portraying an AI “Wookie” but he just didn’t have the graphic support Mark did. Better luck next time Lloyd! I hear you have a great Idi Amin impression!!!!

lloyd-austin-ukraine.jpg (1200×674)

Finally, in the area of best Elevator Walk Off Music, we MUST honor the White House staff again. This is some cool jazz, it’s genius, come on man!

SUPPORTING ACTOR Roles:

As we move into the secondary NATIONAL level ACTING Awards, we must give a nod to a perennial winner, someone who can act outraged at almost anything. This latest clip is amazing as Ms. Waters, who can’t even hear the questions through her plastic shield and mask, is able to express her outrage in such a convincing way! ( Many thanks to the podcaster Young Man Hood, scrub to around 5 minutes if you want to see Maxie Pad.) But you should really watch the whole clip!

Close runner’s up were MSNBC’s Joy Reid, the 1619 Project’s creator Nikole Hannah Jones with her statement that parent’s shouldn’t be allowed to decide what schools teach their children.

In the newcomer category is Boston Mayor, Michelle Wu, who’s outraged that she was boo’ed while announcing medical apartheid in Boston. This led her to claim that the protesting was all because of racism and sexism. Nice play, Michelle, outraged about racism while implementing medical “racism.” No worries, Michelle, you’ll be up with the big girls soon! ( link to video below)

Our next award is one that will be around for the remainder of time. Best Performance by a Man Pretending to be a Woman. This is a tough category since we have SO many entries. Nominees were:

Rachel Levine:

page14_Dr-Levine.jpg (516×432)

She works at HHS. How clever!

Lia Thomas, collegiate swimmer, University of Penn:

11340521_121421-wpvi-upenn-swimmer-6pm-CC-vid.jpg (1600×900)

You have to give a TON of credit to Lia. She is kicking ASS as a female swimmer who is really a man competing with female swimmers! The East Germans of the 70’s would be SO PROUD.

And who can forget Laurel Hubbard, the New Zealand athlete who competed as a female in the 2020 Olympics.

A shout of female joy. By the way, where are her boobs?

This competition is SO close. Sorry to say, Rachel doesn’t really do anything, so it comes down to the two athletes. Who wins? The one kicking female ass or the one who did poorly even as a female?

And the SHEEPIE goes to…

LAUREL HUBBARD! The final determinant was the woke agenda that Laurel gave a boost to. Since she didn’t win, she allowed the transgender lobby to say, “See, it’s not unfair for men to compete with women!” Lia, you should have “eased” your way in with some seconds and thirds. Laurel proves that a shitty athlete is a shitty athlete! But she did get to go to the Olympics while natural, real women weight lifters stayed home. Good on ya!

On that note, we close the awards for today. This is a blatant attempt to get you to come back on New Year’s Eve!! You can do that during the “Virtual” First Night Celebration in Easton. Tomorrow, look for the MAIN National, State, and Local awards.

Bring the booze and the snacks!

” I Hear the Train a Comin’…It’s Rolling ‘Round the Bend…” – Lyrics from Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash

As we head into 2022 many are hoping it will be a better year. A year of joy, a return to normalcy…

No such luck. And, if you are paying attention at all you know that. You know something insidious is out there.

But it’s not the new Omicron strain of Covid. It’s how Biden and the rest of the Branch Covidian Cult will politicize this strain and use it to shut down society and the voices of those who are awake to their fraud and criminal activities. They have seen the national polls and know that they are in trouble.

Listen and see if you can hear the train.

Chug…the Omicron variant is discovered in South Africa. Authorities there say it is extremely contagious but not as severe as other strains. Here in the U.S., Biden bans travel from South Africa. Then just about everywhere.

Chug…the Governor of New York institutes mask mandates in all indoor businesses. The outgoing Mayor of New York City cancels New Year’s Eve for all the “unvaccinated” which now means people must have the third booster to go with their first two doses. Chug…the Mayor of Boston institutes a vaccine passport requirement for all restaurants, gyms, bars and entertainment venues. She announced this in front of loud protesters who she called racist and sexist. Why? because, she’s Asian, female and it’s so damn conveinient. Couldn’t be that this is a crappy idea.

Chug…chug…the resident of the White House ( maybe?) makes a wonderful holiday statement promising a dark and deadly winter for all of the unvaccinated. This is posted online and people who see it think it’s fake, but it’s not. But, he got a new puppy!!!!

At the same time, the self proclaimed “Mr. Science” Fauci says that people should check their loved ones for vaccine status before allowing them into their homes for Christmas and New Years. He also applauds vaccine mandates for air travel, not for health reasons, but as great coercion. Yes, he basically said that.

Chug, chug, chug…the Maryland Department of Health suffers a huge hack that destroyed all the recent data regarding Covid in the state. Coincidence? Sure, run with that. Lockdown Larry Hogan, thinking this is his chance to get back on the news shows, decides to declare a state of emergency in the state. I’m sure he has all the steps memorized by now. And, he has recovered from the arm strain he had from patting himself on his back fat in 2020, so he is ready to rock and roll! New Year, new shows, same crappy Presidential polling data. Hey Larry, the Democrats STILL hate you and now we do too!

The train is picking up steam, vaccine mandates in Prince George’s County are instituted for all school children, Montgomery County ponders vaccine passports as does Baltimore City ( after all, they’ve had more than 300 deaths from gun violence and all those dead probably tested positive for Covid). Annapolis cancels New Years Eve celebration. Chug, chug, chug, chug.

The good news is that all the courts will be closed until February, so Mayor Scott and Ms. Moseby, the city state’s attorney, won’t have to worry about prosecuting those felons. Is that how her conviction rate is 98%? ( her words, not mine.) If you don’t prosecute them, they don’t hurt your rating. And that’s all that matters.

In an effort to fight this heinous strain, Biden orders 500, no 500 thousand, no 500 million, no 500 billion…numbers are so hard for him…Covid tests so we can ramp up those positives in droves. Coming soon to your mailbox! I can’t wait to use one! (Not)

Did I tell you he got a new puppy? And some pudding.

At the same time he tells us, the great unwashed, that Covid cannot be solved by the Federal government. Hey, doofus, we told you that a year ago, but you were too busy blaming Trump for his strategy of allowing states to handle the problem. Chug, chug, chug, chug…Say it after me, Joe, “Let’s go Brandon.”

And here, in Talbot County, the Covid train steams into the station, where it is greeted by the Avalon Theater medical segregationists, bearing wreaths and scanners and some fragments from the Talbot Boys Monument made into Christmas collectible ornaments that say, ” History is Evil. ” They are signed by some guy named Frank.

But, not to be outdone, the Town of Easton, making sure to placate the thrice Ivy League degreed County Health Officer, decided New Year’s would be “virtual” this year. If people aren’t allowed, what will we be watching? A fireworks screen saver? Or how about a good old time test pattern? Contact local businesses to see which they will be using. CHEERS! Here’s to a New Year of little to no social contact, free faces, or children actually LEARNING in live school!!!!

And, if that isn’t enough, the Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra will be presenting a concert at the Christ Church. Only the vaccinated need buy tickets. Apparently, listening to music is a known super spreader. May I suggest the church change it’s name to “Church of the Covidians?” Chug, chug, chug, chug….

All for a less deadlier strain of a disease that isn’t as deadly as the supposed cure and has over a 99% survival rate. Are you getting the picture yet? I am.

As my friend Mark ( whose identity I will not reveal since he may be one of a small group of actual thinking people in my town), asks,” It couldn’t be about the upcoming elections in 2022? Right?” Oh, Mark, you will be on that train with me if you don’t stop thinking and making connections.

But hey, Happy New Year. New Year…same old crap. If we allow it.

Ready to stand up yet?

It’s a Wonderful Life?

Merry Christmas to all my family and friends, new and old.

Funny how topics come to me. For the last couple of weeks I have been thinking of writing a story about a person who wakes up one morning and the whole world has changed to something they don’t recognize. Sound familiar?

So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that when I turned on the television this morning, Christmas morning, it was set to a channel showing the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life.” Coincidence? Divine plan? Who knows.

I don’t know about you but for me Christmas seems different this year. Maybe it’s because I am older and the kids are adults making their own lives. Maybe it’s because we just had our daughter’s wedding last weekend and that took up so much emotional energy ( in a good way.) Or maybe it’s because this year has sucked. Doesn’t matter, but I sure didn’t feel very “Christmas-sey.”

If you don’t know the story of the movie, look it up. In short, a man wants to erase his entire life because things are so bad, but an angel shows him that the world would be horrible without him. It’s a play on the theme of the “butterfly” effect. That means that every person, every action, impacts another. Remove one person, one act, and history is changed.

The movie got me thinking. How many of us have spent the last year wondering if we are making any difference in the world? How are we changing this awful trajectory that the Marxists have us on? Are we stopping our country’s slide into Communism and Totalitinarianism?

Sometimes it seems like the evil character from the movie, Mr. Potter, is winning. In our world, he could be played by a number of people, Soros, Gates, Fauci, Biden, take your pick. Like the movie, we feel like we are getting to the point where he is winning. I can even hear his evil laugh any time these people talk.

So, like George Bailey, some of us are standing on a bridge looking down at the water and wishing that maybe we never existed. We need a little Clarence Odbody right now to show us how wrong we are. I hope he isn’t resting on his newly acquired angel wings.

If Clarence was to show us our impact, what would he show us? For each of us it might be different. He would show us the friends we have helped, the family we have raised, even the strangers we have encouraged by the smallest of acts. It would be a long opening act of moments.

As a group, let’s think about what the world would be like if it wasn’t for all the patriotic Americans of all races and persuasions who have made an impact.

Imagine, no Americans to write the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, documents that created a new kind of country where the people were in charge. No Founders to insist on religious freedom, freedom of speech. No Americans to right the wrongs of slavery. No American soldiers to help stop the tyranny of Hitler and Tojo. To force the tearing down of the Berlin Wall. To go to the moon, make great technological and scientific advancements, and on and on.

We haven’t been perfect. Just like George Bailey, we are only human. We have made mistakes.

The Marxists are trying to use our mistakes against us, just like Mr. Potter tries to take over the Bailey Savings and Loan, snarling and laughing. They divide us with race, with crazy illogical ideas that cause chaos in our minds, with wrong as right and right as wrong. As George’s father says about Mr. Potter, ” He hates everyone who has anything he can’t have.”

On a smaller scale, many of us are doing the little things that impact the world. We are speaking out. Organizing other like minded people. Putting pressure on our politicians, local, state and national. Like Mr. Potter, they aren’t happy about that. We are making them so mad that they want to remove us, nullify us, intimidate us. Like George, we can get discouraged.

That’s where Clarence comes in. Clarence shows George all the reasons his life has been important. He shows George the world without George. It’s a disaster, like our country would be without us. In the movie, evil takes over Bedford Falls, turning it into a cesspool of sleazy nightclubs and strip joints. People who had lived prosperous happy lives after George helped them, were horribly miserable failures in the world without him. Even his wife, Mary.

Clarence tells him, “You’ve been given a great gift, George: A chance to see what the world would be like without you.”

Obviously, Clarence is an oversimplified characature of an angel, talking to two lights in the sky, presumably Joseph and God. Some might think it is a cartoon depiction of the Almighty and how He works. But the message of the story works, and it makes us think. Quite frankly, we could all use a little Clarence, even if he is, like George says, “about the kind of angel I’d get. Sort of a fallen angel, aren’t you? What happened to your wings?”

The events of the story bring us to a point where George, after being shown the world without him, calls out to Clarence, ” Help me Clarence. Get me back.” Of course, Clarence takes him back to his real life. Things are bad. George might go to jail! But, he is so happy to be back to reality that he shouts to the bank examiners who have come to arrest him, “Isn’t it wonderful? I’m going to jail. “

And of course, the ending scene is classic when Zuzu hears the bell ring on the Christmas tree after all of George’s friends come to help him out of his banking crisis and she says, ” Look Daddy. Teacher says, every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.” ( No CRT in that classroom I guess.)

It’s smarmy and overly sentimental, especially after you have watched it over a hundred times. But, if you watch carefully, the message is still amazing in all the events, the dialogue, and the actors chosen for the parts. Can anyone deny the magic Jimmy Stewart brings to the role of George Bailey? Or Henry Travers as Clarence? And then there’s Donna Reed. ( Side note, Stewart once called the movie his favorite movie out of his 60 year career.)

So, I will watch this movie today. I dedicate my watching and this blog post to all my friends and family. You have impacted my life and this world in so many positive ways you don’t even know. And, you will continue to do so!

As Clarence writes in the book he gives George, “Remember, George, no man is a failure who has friends.”

Merry Christmas to all of you!!!! May God bless you always and often!

It IS a wonderful life.

Do You Hear What I Hear?

This song is adapted in honor of the targeted resistance, those who fight tyranny from local, state, and national dictators. The deplatformed, banned, deleted, ridiculed and prosecuted! Do not lose hope! We will not submit to their lunacy and threats!

Said the fascist to the common man,

Do you see what I see?

Far off in the East common man,

A germ, a germ, coming from a lab,

It’s my reason to make a power grab,

It’s my reason to make a power grab,

Said Fauci to old Chairman Joe,

Do you hear what I hear?

On the mainstream news Chairman Joe?

Do you hear what I hear?

A shot, a shot, to bring them to their knees,

With mandates as vast as the seas,

With mandates as vast as the seas,

Said big pharma to the senile “king,”

In your green screened room senile “king,”

A shot, a shot, billions to be sold,

You should bring us silver and gold,

You should bring us silver and gold.

Said free people in countries everywhere,

Listen to what we say!

Pray for freedom people everywhere,

Listen to what we say!

Crowds, crowds of people in the night,

We will protect our God given rights,

We will protect our GOD GIVEN RIGHTS!

Any implied reference to any current sitting VP, government official etc. is purely coincidental. But, it is accurate

“Arrogant Liars,” This is Who is in “Public” Office

It’s everywhere. It’s this attitude that the public does not deserve their respect, their attention, or even notice. It goes from the top, from a congressman altering text messages to get another congressman and former President in legal trouble to a local State Senator calling her constituents “uneducated” and “misinformed” while pretending to represent them. (See this blog from December 14 and 15th).

And it is happening at the local level as well. Even though citizens of this county demand a larger venue for school board meetings to allow more face to face interactions, the Talbot County School Board, via an employee, keeps insisting that the way they are currently doing things is “for safety reasons.”

While I am not surprised that the Talbot County Board of Education lies, I am surprised that they are not even aware that their lies are poorly constructed. In other words, I thought they would be more proficient in their lying. After all, they have been doing it for a long time.

Why?

Because they KNOW they can get away with it. They know they have the County Council, the local Teachers’ Union, and yes, the media, running interference for them. And, they think they know that we are just a small number of malcontents who are stupid.

They are wrong. But, we will let them operate under that assumption.

You would think that with all the important issues being addressed in our world, Board members would want to meet with the public in person rather than through written comments or some obscure virtual meeting. One of the best ways to create relationships with others is to see them face to face, in the same room, in person.

You would think they would want to hear from ALL parents and community members, not just their echo chamber of “go along to get alongs” and those who are willing to coerce their institutional will on children with bribes. But no, they would prefer to keep that number to ten, ten carefully chosen, screened speakers and meeting attendees. ( Side note, this last statement was deemed “offensive” by a highly placed educational official.)

We used to have meetings at Easton High School in the cafeteria. The Board would go to their private meeting, eat a catered lunch from the Culinary Arts students, and then meet with the public. On slow days, there would be ten to fifteen attendees. During more controversial days, there would be a packed room. ( Like when the Student Services folks had a lacrosse player charged and expelled for having a lighter and a pen knife in his game bag on the bus to the game. The lighter and pen knife were to repair his lacrosse stick. Didn’t matter. I believe in the end, the family won a lawsuit.)

One time, a parent was removed from the meeting. Her name was Abby and as I recall, she was advocating for her children. This was WAY back. But to his credit, that Superintendent did not close meetings from that point on.

But that was prior to the current administration. Using Covid as an excuse, the Board found that they liked these little, quiet, masked up meetings. Easier to select and control participants. Just a wonderful country club atmosphere of self congratulation and feel good.

Unfortunately virtual meetings just don’t cut it, especially if you really want to make the schools better. Like anything else on projected on a screen, when you meet with someone on a computer, you can allow your attention to drift. Or you can just ignore them. As we have seen in many cases since 2020, you can find other things to occupy your mind. ( Remember that CNN reporter?)It’s just like watching a television show. All you need is the remote to turn the volume up or down, or to even turn the person off.

Reading written statements don’t make it either. With all due respect to the administrative assistants of the Board of Education, etc. they can’t possibly read a parent’s statement with the same conviction and emphasis. Imagine a parent’s statement about her child coming home off the bus in a bloody face mask. Now, read it in an unemotional, totally objective voice. In many cases, public comments read by someone else sound like Joe Biden reading a teleprompter, disconnected, incorrect, and meaningless.

So why are the Boards so reluctant?

Recently, many of us wrote to the Board of Education asking that the venue of meetings be changed so that more people could be there and speak in person. Here’s one of their responses. Their words are in bold italics, my comments are in regular following each paragraph.

The Talbot County Board of Education holds all meetings in Conference Room #2 at the Talbot County Education Center. Granicus, a technology platform, is used to ensure all meetings are streamed live and recorded.  Granicus provides greater access and increases engagement with TCPS families and the community.

My thoughts: Wow. How nice of you to allow “engagement with TCPS families.” Yeah, sure, they can’t really interact, but at least they can sit there, shut up and listen to what you want to tell them. And you can’t possibly allow live comments from more than ten people AND stream the meeting. What, are we nuts? That would be like walking and chewing gum at the same time. But hey, they care.

The Talbot County Board of Education welcomes citizens to attend the Board meeting and to participate in the Public Comment portion of the meeting.  In response to COVID 19, it is the decision of the Board to limit public access.

Wait a second. Reread this statement, “In response to Covid 19 it is the decision of the Board to limit public access.” Doesn’t this sentence on its own show that the Board knows that virtual meetings limit public access? But they just said technology increases public access. Which is it? Pick a side Board of Ed. Pick a side.

This decision also limits access to TCPS staff who participate.  Meetings are open to the first 10 attendees and everyone in attendance is required to wear a mask to maintain public safety for all.  The Board also accepts written public comments emailed in advance.

Okay, again, I thought you said that technology increases, not limits, access. Please find someone who can write your spin so it sticks to one rationale and stays there. You are all over the place. You know why? Because you can’t have it both ways. And I have NO idea why masks are included in this email. First of all, I’ve seen how Board members lower their masks, play with their masks, and take off their masks while speaking. Either they don’t care about safety or this is just bullshit. Or both. And, the written comments part, seriously, you KNOW this isn’t the same as someone speaking in front of you.

Remember this example of masks for safety?

By the way, why are teachers/staff included in this rationale? Are you claiming, “hey, we won’t even give full access to our employees, stop yer bitchin’.”?

Since the implementation of the limited access to the public, there has only been one meeting with more than 10 people requesting to speak during public comment.  Everyone was given the opportunity to provide a written public comment that would be shared with the Board.

Again, this is the THIRD time you have written about “limited access to the public” while you initially told us technology gave the public more access. I think you have proven my point. You and I both know that virtual meetings do not increase public access, they stifle it. And that’s the way you want it. ( The Superintendent is retiring in June. If she just holds out, she won’t have to do these meetings with the great unwashed anymore. Whew.)

I find it kind of sickening that it’s okay that “only one” meeting had to turn away people who wanted to speak. Seriously. Is the fact that you suppressed some public comment a rationale for suppressing public comment? Wouldn’t that be like faking a robbery to prove that robbery is a problem? As I use to tell my students, you can’t define a word by using that word as the definition. You need to take a critical thinking course or something.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

Don’t thank me for something you don’t have. I don’t support this bull and I sure as hell don’t understand this.

Here’s what I understand. You don’t WANT to meet with the public in person. You don’t want to hear their points, you don’t want to be held accountable, you don’t want any of that. You want to have the option of stifling them with virtual meetings and written comments. You want to serve out your terms, get all the glad handing and praise, and then go home and feel good about yourselves while having your chardonnay.

You’re not alone. Apparently, in the big school board national network action plan, there must be a call to suppress public comment in board meetings. Oh wait. There was! Remember that letter from the National School Boards Association telling the DOJ and the White House to punish public dissent at school board meetings using the FBI? ( Side note: I know that Maryland is one of the states who have not discontinued their membership in this group. Seventeen other states have to the tune of 1.1 million dollars lost to that group. Maybe they know something our Board should figure out. )

Don’t count on it.

Shame on you, members of the Talbot County Board of Education. You work for US. We support you with our tax dollars. And we send our most precious people, our children to to you, expecting them to be educated. Not innoculated, indoctrinated, or intimidated. And we expect to have a say in it. We will be reasonable and polite.

If you can’t do that, it’s time for you to quit.

At the very least, try to make sense when you deny us. And stop lying.

The following link shows how the national suppression is happening:

Author’s note: There are many people who don’t like my writing. It’s fine because I don’t write to please anyone. I write to make a point.

It doesn’t come without a price to me. I get deplatformed, censored, and called all kinds of names. But, unlike our Current Resident of the White House, I value my freedoms, every one of them.

Listen to Christine Anderson, German MEP of the European Parliament, she feels the same:

I’m with her…

Let Them Know You Exist…Demand They Listen!

I love the show YELLOWSTONE. If you have never watched it, it’s about a rancher in Montana, John Dutton, and how he has to fight developers, casinos, etc. to keep his land.

One of my favorite characters, his daughter Beth, is talking to a woman who is leading a protest against using animal fur for clothing. The protest is small and Beth is trying to make a point to the leader that her efforts are wasted on a protest that means little or nothing. Beth compares the people who will buy and sell the furs to a train. She calls the head of the protest a “caboose.” Beth continues, ” The engine of the problem doesn’t even know you exist. ”

That quote really hit me, because it strikes me that some of us feel like we are the caboose, that the engine of the problems we are fighting don’t know we are here.

I think that is changing.

How do I know?

What do we see? We see the FBI and the DOJ calling parents “domestic terrorists.” We see people who don’t want the experimental, dangerous jab being described as “killers.” We have Presidents, Senators, Governors, etc. calling us crazy, whackos, etc. It’s not normal behavior. It is the stench of fear.

And we see people calling out our local leaders. These leaders don’t like it.

If you read yesterday’s blog, I called out our State Senator, Addie Eckardt, for her comments in several videos regarding us, her constituents and her beliefs about the Covid 19 vaccines. That blog prompted some emails to her about this topic.

She didn’t like that. I’ll share her response to several people. I only have to share it once because it is the same response, over and over.

Before I do that, I’m going to share what I heard during my run yesterday. I like to listen to either a blog or local talk show when I run. I chose the Casey and Elliott show on WCBM. During the show, they had Congressional Representative for Maryland, Andy Harris on the air. Andy is on the show quite often, taking calls and questions from the hosts and callers.

One caller, who didn’t get into the show while Andy was on, expressed her anger that Republicans in the House and Senate, specifically in the Freedom Caucus, had done very little to help the January 6th Political Prisoners who have been in the D.C. jail for almost a year for…trespassing.

In a time when everyone on the left is beside themselves for the deplorable conditions for prisoners in the jails, these people are experiencing horrible mistreatment which include beatings, solitary confinement for 23 out of 24 hours a day, rotten food, guards calling them white supermacists, etc. Only a few government officials, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Louis Gohmert, etc. have spoken out about this. I guess the outrage on the left only applies to REAL terrorists and criminals in jail, you know, drug dealers, rioters, looters, murderers. Their compassion ends with white conservatives.

And this caller was angry, rightfully so. So, the hosts suggested that Andy might call back in. And he did. I will give him credit for that!

The call between Congressman Harris and this lady went how you might expect it at first. He complained that the Republicans don’t have control of the House and Senate. The caller mentioned that this never seemed to stop the Marxist Democrats. Harris then said that the lefties have the mainstream media. She told him that he and his colleagues should be out there every day in front of the D.C. jail and FORCE the media to cover it. As they talked, the woman got more angry and told him, “I’m tired of it and I AM PISSED.”

They ended the call with no resolution. Guess what? Congressman Harris is learning what many of our Republican leaders are learning. The people who elected them to do the job are tired of their inactivity, excuses and go along to get along attitude. And, while I will say that I believe Andy Harris does care about his constituents and does fight, there are many others who don’t seem to.

That’s not going to work anymore. The sleeping giant is awake.

Addie Eckardt is learning that. But she appears to be a slow learner. Let me share some emails.

Here are two emails from constituents:

The first one included a copy of my blog with the video of her that I cited:

Senator Eckardt,

I was forwarded the attached article this morning and frankly, I am disappointed in you to say the least. I agree in that you need to make yourself available to the Eastern Shore residents, I myself reside in Talbot County, in a press conference setting, to explain your comments and face the voting population you insulted and listen to our concerns. Don’t forget, we elected you….

Sincerely,

Bruce Corley

Here is the second one:

( I have withheld the sender’s name on this one)

Addie,Your position on forced vaccines is wrong and immoral. We the people are against any forced vaccines. We want the freedom to choose. You were not elected to force your constituents to inject any substance into our bodies. The jab does NOT prevent one from getting or spreading (or dying from) Covid. So why do you want to force it? Penicillin is a lifesaver for some and a death sentence for others. My daughter and husband would be a great risk for myocarditis and blood clots, some of the side effects documented by hundreds of thousands easily found on the VAERS government website. If you insist on this position we will fight you tooth and nail. I could not be more disappointed. Vote NO in your committee on forced mandates.

Now, here is her response. I will only include one copy of this because it is basically the same to both citizens. Apparently, cutting and pasting is the BEST way to address two different emails. ( I will give credit for her using the sender’s name.)

Greetings Bruce,

First I appreciate your bringing to my attention the news clip. Thank You. You are correct I am assigned as one of the two Republicans to the Senate COVID 19 Oversight Committee, where I receive regular updates from the Secretary of Health regarding the state’s data on the vaccine roll out. In addition, the office of legislative services prepare information that is also reviewed, which shows the number and percentages of vaccinations administered overall, to various subgroups in the state and then also by each county. Those meetings are open with frank discussions on the perspectives around the state.

I hear from a variety of residents and health professionals from the shore and am very much aware of the differences in beliefs and thinking on the vaccine. I have not and will not support either a mask mandate or a vaccine mandate. Do I believe that there will be a mandate in the future, however? Probably yes. The numbers alone determine that in Annapolis. The decision to vaccinate or not is a medical decision that I believe all should be able to make for themselves. Have I shared my frustration with accurate information and education about the vaccine? Yes. I am a nurse and have promoted testing, safe practices and vaccination. I am hearing more from those who are frustrated because of lack of hospital beds for very sick people and the lack of resources –nurses in long term care, hospitals, schools and mental health professionals to address all the distress related to this unprecedented pandemic that has been hard to think about.

What might be helpful to me is for you to send me the questions that you would like answered or asked during those meetings so that I can propose them to the entire COVID-19 Oversight Committee.

Thank You for presenting your concerns.

My other friend got an almost identical response. I’m going to decode some parts.

First, let me give you a hypothetical situation and ask you a question.

You are talking to someone and they say these things:
“People I represent have misinformation about Marxism. I wish we could get them good information so they would make the right decision because if we don’t have Marxism, someone might force it on us. I get so much push back from the rural areas about Marxism. It’s because there a political science professionals who say Marxism is bad. I would like citizens to make the decision to be Marxist on their own based on positive info on Marxism. My colleagues on the Western Shore want Marxism. I don’t agree with all of  Marxism but if we don’t have a large majority of Marxists, they are going to mandate it, so it would be helpful if people had positive info on Marxism. “
Is this person a believer in Marxism?

I think you know.
Now change “Marxism” to “ vaccines.”

This is a politician pretending to be against something when they are really for it or not willing to fight against it. Go along to get along. Blame the citizens.

You’ll see I put her response regarding a meeting in bold. It seems that in person meetings are a problem for so many of our elected officials. Our Board of Education won’t allow more than ten people. Addie wants questions in writing so she can address them in writing.

Why not face her constituents in person? We know why. That would mean having to respond without benefit of canned answers. It’s why Biden won’t take press conferences without knowing which reporters to call on. That would require him to give a potentially honest answer, which may be damaging to him. It would show people who he is. It would expose him.

And maybe that’s the same for Addie.

But people aren’t falling for that anymore. Here’s how my friend Bruce responded:

Senator Eckardt,
Your cut and paste response is insulting, yet again.  Something you fail to understand is that the people on the Eastern Shore do communicate with each other and share information.  You appear to represent us in your communications to us but when you think we are not listening you represent yourself and other special interest groups.  Please prove me wrong!
I sent you and the entire Senate Covid 19 Oversight Committee an educational email against child vaccine mandates on Monday (12/13/2021) and I have yet to get a response from any of you, but a day later I provide you with an honest yet very unflattering video of you and I get an swift response that in my opinion is nothing more than you trying to cover you backside.
I am not trying to be disrespectful but this mandate nonsense (i.e., masks and vaccines) needs to stop!  There is ample data on the serious side effects of Covid 19 mRNA vaccines and other treatments now that were not available when this pandemic started.  It is time to stop the hysteria and fear mongering, Covid is not going away and our children need to be allowed to develop their natural immunity.
The U.S. Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) own data (i.e., VAERS Data) show that the cure is more harmful than the virus particularly with regards to children.  Additionally, do you know how many children have died due specifically to Covid in the U.S. since the beginning of the pandemic?  CDC has the data and I have a portion of it, but does the Senate Covid 19 Oversight Committee have it?
childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/cdc-vaers-3rd-shot-teens-deaths-injuries-covid-vaccines/

CDC Pushes 3rd Shot for Teens, as Number of Deaths Reported to VAERS Aft…VAERS data released today by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention included a total of 946,463 reports …
Stop the MANDATES!
Sincerely,Bruce Corley

Talbot County Resident

My friend Bruce is like so many of us. We have had enough.

We have had enough of you saying one thing to us, and something else in Annapolis/D.C.

We have had enough of you taking us for granted because you have a certain party designation behind your name and you are the lesser of two evils.

We have had enough of your excuses for why you can’t represent us with strength, bold opinions and actions.

We have had enough of empty promises without action.

We are watching what you do. And we will vote you out if you don’t listen to us and take bold steps to represent us.

And we will work against you.

There are some who do stand up. Trump. Rand Paul. Marjorie Taylor Greene. Louis Gohmert. And Dan Cox.

Don’t know who Dan is? Dan is running for Governor. He is a Republican, but guess who doesn’t support him? Lockdown Larry doesn’t support Dan. We all know why. Dan called Larry out on his tyrannical, self serving actions and support of the Biden Administration over the last year and a half. Lockdown Larry wants his clone, Kelly Schultz, to be the next Governor. No thanks.

Guess who DOES support Dan? Trump. Trump endorsed Dan and his running mate Gordana. Why? Because Dan isn’t afraid to fight for us. He is a Constitutional Conservative. And goodness knows, Gordana is a fighter too. She is a woman who escaped from tyranny in Yugoslavia.

And me. I support Dan and Gordana. ( coxforfreedom.com)

Both of them stand strongly against the mandates. Both have experience with the personal consequences of that stand. Dan has family members who lost jobs. Gordana just lost a teaching job at the Naval Academy. And I know that they will stand for US.

Here’s a link to a story about a press conference about the damage to the health care system from mandates. It was held here in Easton on December 10th: ( which was at 8 a.m. on a Friday)

https://www.stardem.com/news/local_news/medical-freedom-conference-criticizes-vaccine-mandates-lack-of-hospital-staffing/article_ac183804-ea27-5859-ae97-4bb0eb14656c.html

Please notice who was there. Delegate Mautz was also there. Also take note of who wasn’t. Yeah, Addie, I’m talking to you.

In the end, the other side will fight back. And I don’t mean just Democrat/Marxists. The RINO’s will too. They will try to convince you that they are our only alternative. Not true.

As Jason Whitlock said, “We are being convinced to believe absurdities so they can commit their atrocities.”

Think about it. They try to convince us that good is bad, right is wrong, what we see is not real and what they tell us is. And, then, once they convince us, they do whichever “atrocities” they want. Vaccine and mask mandates. CRT in our schools. Keeping people in the DC jail unconstitutionally.

NO. MORE. We are done being the CABOOSE.

PERSONAL NOTE: Aside from that horrible first meeting with Senator Eckardt, I don’t know her. I am not saying she is an evil person. I’m saying that she is not a good representative of those of us in her district. She might have been in the past, but not now.

This is the email Bruce sent to the Vaccine Oversight work group. It’s very informative!

Members of the Maryland Senate Vaccine Oversight Work Group (MSVOWG),

Recently the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the experimental Covid 19 vaccine for children ages 5 and up.  I am writing to share my strong opinions and known facts about these experimental vaccines and my strong position against them being MANDATED for our children.

First off, there is no licensed and approved version of a Covid 19 vaccine available in the United States.  The only vaccines available, and being administered, are authorized under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).   “A federal district court judge in the Northern District of Florida has rejected a claim by the U.S.  Department of Defense that the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine being administered under the EUA is interchangeable with Pfizer’s Comirnaty vaccine, which in August was fully licensed by the FDA.”

Every adult who receives a current experimental Covid 19 vaccine must sign a liability waiver because it is not a fully FDA licensed vaccine, and they are only approved under the EUA.  Likewise, a parent or legal guardian must sign the same waiver on behalf of their child if they currently choose to have their child or children vaccinated with an experimental Covid 19 vaccine.  This waiver effectively nullifies individual rights to sue the manufacturer if/when a vaccine injury occurs.  I do question, as should each of you, why waivers are necessary if these experimental vaccines are safe and effective.

If the MSVOWG MANDATES that all children in Maryland take one of the experimental Covid 19 vaccines, are each of you willing to take on the liability of any and all vaccine injuries that arise as a result of any ill advised child vaccine MANDATE?

Children do not readily catch Covid 19.  The incidence of severe disease or death due solely to Covid 19 in children and adolescents is statistically zero.  A study in Sweden showed that out of approximately 2 million children in Sweden aged 1 to 16 years old, zero died from Covid 19.  A study in Germany had the same result.   In fact, children exposed to Covid 19 will have, at the most, mild symptoms while at the same time developing natural immunity, an immunity that is superior to any protection created by an experimental vaccine.  Furthermore, it is a known fact that the current experimental Covid 19 vaccines do not prevent a person from catching Covid 19 or spreading it.  The stated benefits of the experimental Covid 19 vaccines are that they will lessen the severity of the symptoms of Covid 19.

Really?  With that in mind, why would anyone even think about, let alone MANDATE, injecting an experimental substance into a child’s body in the name of protecting them from a virus that is not deadly or debilitating to them?

These vaccines can and have done great harm to some children.   These experimental Covid 19 vaccines have caused damaging effects (e.g., Myocarditis and Pericarditis) in children and adolescents.   These are conditions that are both life threatening and debilitating.  The highest rate of these injuries were among boys aged 12 to 17.  Most of these effects occur after the second dose of the experimental vaccine.  The statistics on this alone prove that this experimental vaccine is more harmful to children and adolescents than the Covid 19 virus itself.

Children have also suffered other side effects such as strokes, extreme pain, anaphylaxis, blood clots, and even death.  In August 2021, 1,018 serious reactions and 18 deaths were reported which were connected to the vaccines.  In short, children face a much higher probability of dying from the experimental vaccine than the actual virus.  In Israel, a group of doctors released this statement,” Do not rush to vaccinate children as long as the full picture is not clear.  Coronavirus does not endanger children, and the first rule in medicine is ‘first, do no harm’.  The full picture is not expected for many months and possibly years.”

I implore this committee to use common sense and not allow any Covid 19 vaccine MANDATES to be issued for our children.

Sincerely,Bruce Corley

Part Four: The Lies They Tell You About Education in the United States: Schools Want Parental Involvement

For most of my thirty years in education, one of the constant laments was that parents weren’t involved enough in their children’s education. The general idea was that if parents were involved more, there would be higher student achievement and better student behavior. This idea was created out of the fact that in the past, kids knew that if they misbehaved at school there would be consequences there and then at home.

I once got in trouble for challenging my social studies teacher in class. I don’t remember exactly what he was telling us, but I know it had something to do with politics and the election. I blurted out, interupting him with my most sarcastic thirteen year old tone, “Is that a fact?” I was questioning his honesty. ( Hard to imagine that I would do that, I know.)

He was not happy at my rude behavior and I got in trouble. Then he called my parents and told them.

My father, who was career military, was more than NOT happy. We sat down and had a “come to Jesus” talk about respecting teachers and not being a rude jerk. It wasn’t a Ward Cleaver moment either. He stared at me with those eyes that could put fear in your heart, and let me know that this was inexcusable and it would NOT happen again. My mother followed it up with her support and I believe I was relieved of some of the fun activities I enjoyed for about a week.

Of course, this was in the late 60’s. Nowadays, what I did would be just another classroom discussion! But, it is an example of how parents were involved in education at least in a support role.

This is not what I found to be true when I was a teacher, for the most part. Yes, there were some parents that you could count on to hold their child accountable for both academic achievement and behavior, but they were in the minority. Thus, teachers and administrators were always moaning about lack of parental support.

As time went on however, either educators gave up on parental support or they decided it wasn’t important. And parents, either through a lack of time or interest, stopped being involved. Or maybe they merely trusted the schools to do what was right for their children.

Because of that, things started changing in schools.

At first, it was generally accepted that parents would come to conferences for their younger, elementary age children, but not older kids. On parent conference days, elementary teachers’ days were filled with appointments; secondary teachers had basically a free day. Even Back to School nights were sparsely attended. Parents were busy. Parents were working. Parents just didn’t care.

Some schools attempted to arrange conferences at a time when parents could attend, such as outside regular work and school hours. It may have brought in a few parents, but not many.

That’s when education systems began to realize that while it might be nice to have parental involvement in the PTA or fundraising activities, constant contact between teachers and parents just wasn’t important. In fact, in some ways, it was an annoyance. So, the void was created where parental involvement had previously been.

Into this void stepped several players.

The first players were the unions. Remember, in a previous blog I told you that unions didn’t really care about teachers that much ( only spending 5 cents out of every dollar earned to actually advocate for teachers’ issues.) But, this was a no-brainer for them. Unions figured they could promote this issue, working outside of school hours, in order to limit how much time teachers had to devote to meetings, parent conferences, etc. outside the school day AND to look like they were really doing something.

So, the school sytems tried a work around on the new limits. They allowed teachers to have “comp” time for having to stay late for conferences. Or, even better, they let teachers come in several hours later on designated parent conference days.

It didn’t really work that well. Again, parents were too busy, too intimidated, too nonchalant to attend. After all, unless their child was failing, in special education programs, or about to be expelled from school altogether, they assumed he/she was doing okay. And no one on the education side was interested in saying otherwise. Just pass them all and do “in-school suspension” for poor behavior. And with grade inflation becoming the new standard, the parents were quiet.

There were others who filled the void. More on that later.

Everyone was happy. The schools did what they wanted, the kids did what they wanted, and people thought things were going great. This was despite terrible test scores and other signs of little to no academic growth.

Teachers decided that they didn’t need parents either.

There were a few outliers who started to notice that something was off in our educational system, but no one listened to them.

And then 2020 happened.

All of a sudden, parents who were “non-essential” workers got to see first hand, over Zoom and other tech platforms, exactly what was being taught in the children’s classrooms. And they were appalled and angered.

You see, during that void of parental involvement, other groups stepped up. They stepped up in the guise of community organizations, mental health advocates, and the Progressive/Marxist “social justice” warriors. And, with them came money, big money, funding all kinds of programs in the schools, programs that taught something way outside their responsibility or rights.

A crop of new teachers were hired, and these new teachers had been told in their teacher training programs in college that the main focus of any teacher was to teach his/her students values, political beliefs, and “social justice.” These new teachers joined in with great zest, especially after the school systems reinforced their new missions with the stated goals of “equity” rather than “equality.”

(By the way, based on the recent state testing scores, the colleges have made their point effectively. In the most recent test data in Maryland, only 35% of students scored proficient or higher in English/Language Arts, 39% scored proficient or higher in science, and 15% scored proficient or higher in math. This is in grades 3-8. Read those scores again. This means that 65% are not even proficient in E/LA, 61% are not proficient in science, and a whopping 85% are not proficient in Math. Educators will chalk it up to the lost classroom time due to Covid and that might be partly true. However, if they were so concerned about lost academic growth, why haven’t they eliminated lessons/activities that have NOTHING to do with academics so they could spend more time in those areas? That will be a blog entry of its own.)

So, back to the teachers parents saw in the various virtual lessons that teachers were presenting; lessons that were offensive, useless, incorrect and/or harmful to children. This could be why a warning to parents was sent out after the implementation of virtual lessons that parents SHOULD NOT observe or even be in the same room with their child during virtual classes. Administrators said that parents were helping kids during class, were making too much noise etc. While those may have been true, it is more likely that school systems didn’t want parents to see what was going on.

And no wonder. What parent will stand idly by while the teacher tells their child that their parents are “stupid” or that “all White people are racist and all Black people are victims”? Which parent will tolerate their child’s exposure to graphic sexual texts at any grade, much less the primary grades? And do you know a parent nodding in agreement as their kindergarten child is being told they can “decide” which sex they want to be? As a gay friend told me, “I don’t care what sexual preference you have, you don’t want your young child exposed to sexual material of ANY kind.”

But, once those cats were out of the virtual bag, parents began to wake up. They suddently saw that their child was being indoctrinated instead of educated, groomed instead of being taught to think.

With this going on prior to the reopening of schools and the inclusion of useless, ridiculous mask mandates, parents became activated.

They realized that maybe these people running the government schools were out of control. They started complaining to principals, supervisors, and superintendents. Unfortunately, most of the administrators didn’t think their complaints were worth listening to. They either dismissed the complaints or didn’t answer them at all.

The next stop was the Boards of Education because theoretically these were the people who could do something about this mess. Unfortunately, many county school boards, including ours here in Talbot, had begun the weird practice of restricting in person meetings to only ten community participants. Did they know something was coming?

Maybe. We saw it in Loudon County, Virginia as parents spoke with emotion to inattentive and rude school board members regarding the implementation of lessons that were both racist and sexually inappropriate in schools. Even more, they had seen the administration in their county hide the rape of students in the school bathrooms in order to protect a trans-sexual student. Similar events occurred all over the United States with meetings getting heated at times.

Instead of taking a good, hard look at why the parents were so angry, the National Association of School Boards took another approach, writing to the White House and the US Attorney General asking for help in controlling these parents, who they called “domestic terrorists.” The Biden regime and Merrick Garland gladly complied, calling on the FBI to investigate parents who showed up at meetings. This led to arrests and even SWAT teams sent to one woman’s home because she dared to speak against the local school system.

He never mentioned that his son had a company that was part of the CRT, social indoctrination system. Must have forgotten. Or maybe he was so focused on the Marxist mission of making examples out of those who think for themselves that he ignored the fact that the American people, for the most part, don’t like government suppressing free speech.

It didn’t go well for Merrick or his boss Mr. Biden. The backlash, even among people in their party, was very negative. How could they designate moms and dads as terrorists merely complaining about their child’s education? People saw it for what it was. Tyrannical, self serving over-reach.

Most true educators, the ones who want what is truly best for their students, have no interest in usurping the role of the parent in a child’s life. But, those who tend to rise to the top of a school system have a different agenda, self preservation.

The good news is that those people can’t fool us anymore. If they can’t do what is right for the kids, parents will either take their kids to other schools, will home school, or will keep fighting back.

A Stanford Graduate School of Education/New York Times study of 70,000 public schools in 33 states showed that they experienced a 3-4 percent decrease in the student populations ( about 1.5 million pupils according to the National Center for Education Statistics) as kids were pulled for either private schools or homeschooling. The decrease was more dramatic in pre-K and kindergarten, where public schools lost 13 percent of their students. The total lost from grades Pre-K to 12 is the biggest decline since the turn of the century. Maryland alone lost 2.96 % of their enrollment.

Many parents cited both mandates for masks and/or vaccines as well as the realization that schools had gone beyond academics into political indoctrination as their motivation to leave. And it wasn’t just conservative parents, but progressives as well. The progressive parents had been some of the public schools’ most stalwart supporters. But even the most liberal parents want their child to actually learn, grow and succeed.*

This will impact the schools in many ways, especially since most school funding formulas depend on the enrollment of the public schools in each district. Money will be lost and with it, staff. As parents realize that their tax dollars are supporting a system they no longer benefit from, they will go to government officials to demand that the tax dollars from their paychecks go to support private school or homeschool efforts.

And the Unions, who have benefited from their carve outs from Covid funds and the election of their party of choice in D.C., may soon find their ranks thinning and their influence waning.

The best impact to the school system will probably be found in a new crop of candidates for school board positions; people who won’t see the position as a rubber stamp for virtue signalling, authoritarian Superintendents. They will read the policies, know the rules, and hold the schools to higher standards than those who currently serve.

And maybe, at some point, the schools will regain parents’ trust, but it will be hard earned. Once the public discovers that their children will do better and learn more away from public education, they are not likely to come back. And if they do, they will be a group of involved, hands on parents. They won’t tolerate the same abuses that have occurred in the last 20 years. Hopefully, the schools will appreciate them because they will have learned their lesson. The hard way.

Your Child as a Hostage: How School Systems use Kids for Extortion

Parents read this headline the other day and were jubilant: “Maryland State School Board Approves Mandate that will allow Some Students to go Maskless.” The article was written by Liz Bowie, who used to write for our local paper a while back. I had messages on Facebook and other social media that said, “Wow. This is great. Now it’s up to the local boards”

I couldn’t believe it. Either these parents were so desperate to get their lives back to normal OR they didn’t read the article. Frankly, the decision by the State Board was one of the most callous, cruel and stupid decisions they have ever made. And they made it by a vote of 12-1.

But, I think you should judge for yourself. From the article:

Maryland’s state school board approved an emergency regulation Tuesday that allows students to go without masks if the community spread of COVID-19 in their county is moderate or if vaccination rates are above 80% in the school or the surrounding community.

And, from further down in the article:

a school system superintendent can lift the mandate for an individual school if it verifies that 80% of staff and students who are age five or older are vaccinated. Second, a local school board can vote at a public meeting to lift the mandate if 80% of the county population is vaccinated. Third, the local superintendent can lift the mandate if the county’s community transmission rate, according to the state health department, is low or moderate for the past 14 days. If the rate returns above moderate transmission, the school system must resume mandatory masking.

I want you to think about what this announcement REALLY means. The State School Board has decided to hold your children HOSTAGE not only to Covid infection rates but to the percentage of people in your school that are vaccinated. It’s just another decision in recent times that put bureacratic and often dishonest county health officers in charge of whether or not your child must live day after day in a state of oxygen deprivation and psychological harm. It’s a moving target depending on the defintion of vaccinated and “moderate” infection rates. It is also a decision that will cause those who choose not to be vaccinated to be scapegoated AGAIN as the root of all misery in the world.

Let’s take our county as an example. Our county health head, a person with three, count them, three Ivy League degrees; a person who cannot even utter the words “natural immunity” or “herd immunity” without bursting into a hot blue flame of heresy, a person who squirmed and giggled when asked about those two concepts in a county council meeting, has an instinct that is common and strong during these times. That instinct is “Preservation of Power.” If you don’t know what that is, I’ll explain it by saying, “Anthony Fauci.”

We all know Dr. Fauci. He’s the one who was against masks until he was for them, who said the vaccines would get things back to normal until they didn’t, and who recently advocated for us to interrogate our relatives and guests about their vaccine status when they come to our homes over the holidays.

And every local health department head in the country wants to be just like him. Ours does it with non-specific answers, creatively misleading statistics, and the “superiority” of her three degrees. Did I tell you they are Ivy League degrees? Oh, and the squirming and giggling.

The moving target of data in our county has been astonishing. Non-specific when it needed to be, cherry picked when they felt like it, full of omissions always and incorrectly represented when it didn’t prove what the health department wanted it to prove.

And, during it all, the Health Department head has avoided accountability for any mandates implemented by other county agencies by saying she had nothing to do with them. The fingers that point at her edicts promptly get directed elsewhere.

It’s hard to trust anything coming out of that agency. Or, quite frankly, any of them. What will moderate be? Who knows.

Meanwhile, the mother of all health departments, the CDC, changes definitions. Covid infection can be explained in a variety of ways. It can be someone who has tested positive on a PCR test that doesn’t accurately differentiate between the regular flu and Covid OR that has a data threshold incorrectly set so that positives can occur if a person has merely heard the word “Covid” in their lifetime.

Not only that but this same agency, along with Saint Fauci of the Perpetually Wrong, has changed the definition of “vaccinated” from having had both doses, having the second dose at least 14 days ago, and now having had both doses AND a booster. One can see a future where NO ONE is ever “vaccinated” as booster after booster appears over the horizon.

In theory, a school might NEVER reach the correct combination of moderate numbers of Covid cases or vaccination percent that will get the kids out of mask jail. Sort of like playing a high cost slot machine where you NEVER get three cherries.

Like I said, our kids will hostages. But, even kidnappers usually set terms and keep them the same. If they want a million dollars for the hostage, they don’t up the amount willy nilly. Covid cultists don’t have that same philosophy.

Parents and children will be on a roller coaster ride of seeing the light at the end of the horrible Covid tunnel to suddenly being plunged back into the darkness when the terms change.

What is probably the worse effect of all of this will be the scapegoating. Imagine members of your family are among the unvaccinated in your school and your school is hovering around 75% of the population being vaccinated. Every day, the administration will announce that if we could just get five percent more people vaccinated, the kids could go to school and breathe again. And you, your family, will be the problem, the horrible “selfish” people who won’t put their health at risk by taking the jab. Imagine if your child is in school and his classmates and teachers know that he and his family are unvaxxed. Can you imagine how he will be bullied, threatened, and ostracized?

It’s bad enough now when all that is at stake is a fifty dollar gift card.

With the changing definition of “vaccinated” you will never escape.

So, this “kind” decision that the State Board made. Not so kind anymore is it?

John Gotti would be impressed. And that’s not a good thing.

Read this quote and decide for yourself:

It ( the decision) gives the local communities something to shoot for,” said Clarence Crawford, the state school board president. “We wanted to give them incentives to help drive the right behaviors in the community.”

Do you see that last phrase? “Give them incentives to help drive the RIGHT behaviors in the community.” He could have said, ” We trust parents to make the best decisions for their children,” or “We think that parents should consult with their physicians to make health decisions for their child.”

Nope. He wants to give YOU, the parents, INCENTIVES ( i.e. threats) to do what THEY want you to do, right for you and your child or not.

Or. Else.

Like I said. Your child is a hostage.

EPILOGUE: Some additional quotes from this article in the Baltimore Democrat Party Newsletter, I mean, Sun. Emphasis added is mine.

“The new regulation likely could appease some vocal opponents of the mandate who view it as an assault on their rights.” How insulting. You can’t appease me. You can only give me freedom.

Meeting the requirements to lift the mask mandate is likely to be most difficult in conservative counties where vaccination rates tend to be lower and community spread is higher, but also where parents have been most vocal about taking off the masks. Wow. First, the information is incorrect about infection rates in Conservative counties. Second, why does it matter what the political beliefs of the people in the county are? This is HEALTH, not politics, right? Oh, and the little dig at parents speaking their minds. Disgusting Liz Bowie. I thought you were better than that.

And then this from the Teachers’ Unions:

“I think it is a very reasonable set of expectations for off ramps for the mask mandate,” said Cheryl Bost, president of the Maryland State Education Association, the state’s largest teachers union. “I think it is an attainable bar and it has several options. Hopefully, it will incentivize parents to get their children vaccinated.” Again, trying to coerce parents. Nothing about unvaccinated teachers, who are also part of the equation. Hmmm….I wonder what kind of deal Ms. Bost made with the powers that be in the state. Last time I heard, the teachers unions were against mandates. ( See my article about Teachers Unions, it will explain a lot. ) I’m sure Ms. Bost and the NEA Cartel got a nice little paycheck for this.

The Lies They Tell You About Education in the United States : #3 -SEL and Counseling are Preventing Violence

There is a song by Crosby, Stills and Nash called “Teach Your Children” and some of the lyrics are: “Teach your children well, Your father’s hell, did slowly go by. And feed them on your dreams, the one they pick’s the one you’ll know by.”

The song is about how different generations influence each other. I’m not sure why it came to mind today when I heard that we had a bomb scare called into a local school and all the kids had to be evacuated to a local church. But it did.

I think it was the idea that we have “taught our children well.”

By itself, the event is something that seems to happen every other year or so, some yahoo deciding he/she would like to get some attention or cause trouble or whatever. Heck, we even had them in the 70’s.

Unfortunately, it’s not an isolated event in our schools in 2021. In the last month we have had a horrible school shooting in Michigan, and in Maryland ( our state) a school stabbing, a huge fight at a high school involving many students and serious injuries, two students caught with guns at two different schools, two students arrested for gun violence, and various other scares about guns and finally the bomb threat mentioned above. Here is a social media post about a threat in Dundalk:

Fortunately, this was not a real threat. But, there have been others that were real.

I’m sure you are wondering, what the hell is going on?

I’m wondering, what did you expect?

Currently in our schools, we have divided children into various sub-groups by race, gender, vaccine status, sexual preference, etc. We have taught several groups that they are the oppressed and have designated other groups as the oppressors, merely on the basis of skin color. We have identified some as incurable racists, regardless of their actions or beliefs. We have told others that they will never succeed while other groups exist.

We’ve taught them that NOTHING in the history of this country is a positive and they should be ashamed of the United States, its flag, its anthem, its heroes, their family history, etc. They believe the only way to save themselves is to destroy our country and betray their parents.

While we have been doing that, the Federal Government has implemented discipline policies in the schools that don’t prevent violence, but actually encourage it. We have effectively created a “gang” culture in our schools. What do rival gangs do? They fight with each other and commit violent acts and the Department of Education forces the schools to implement policies that remove any consequences.

To speed this process along, we have uselessly clad our children in masks that do nothing to fight disease, but effectively damage their mental and physical health. We’ve told them that other people are dangerous and we should not get close to them. Don’t believe me? Ask the parents whose children are so anxious about getting sick that they panic when they see anyone without a mask. Ask the parents whose children now have physical ailments that are directly connected to the masks.

You can thank your local Superintendent, Health Department, School Board and now State Superintendent and School Board for that. Remember them? The ones who didn’t want to hear from you? The ones who think parents are ” domestic terrorists?”

The most shocking thing of all is that this doesn’t seem to be by accident. It seems intentional and many in the education establishment are complicit in policies that are promoting violence in schools. More about that later.

Educators and politicians will give you several different answers about why this is happening and how to fix the problem. The Baltimore County Executive, Johnny Olszewski, wrote a letter to parents regarding the violence. Did he propose more stringent discipline policies for student offenders? Did he suggest school resource officers to present a strong presence in schools to deter violence? Did he recommend that we stop teaching our children to hate each other and our country?

Oh, come on, you know better than that.

His answer is that we need better school facilities. Yep. If we would just spend billions more on building more modern schools, all the violence would melt away like last year’s snowman. In his defense, he does mention Career and Technology programs and alternative schools. However, I wonder why, since these things have been around for at least 20 years, he hasn’t thought of that sooner. Did he just wake up yesterday and have an epiphany?

Even though his school system gets $16,552.00 per student that is not enough to implement those programs. They need more money for, for, for something….and that is a different something which would eliminate violence in the schools. Forever. Yeah, okay.

That per pupil cost doesn’t include numerous Federal and State Grants. Many private schools, which historically have a better academic record and are not beset with violence, would love to have that amount for each student they teach. And, yes, I know they get to “choose” their students as the public school wonks will tell you. Yes, the public schools take everyone.

The public schools also waste a ton of money on programs that sound good but do nothing and on staff that is unnecessary, particularly in the central administration.

There are solutions that wouldn’t cost any additional funding, but the people in charge would rather not discuss those.

Here’s a letter from the Superintendent of Baltimore County Public Schools regarding violence in his schools and his answers. My comments are following each paragraph in italics.

Dear Team BCPS,

I have heard from members of our community who are concerned about challenging student behavior and its impact on school environments. I want to provide an update on our ongoing efforts to address student safety and also solicit your help with this critical work. Our schools continue to take proactive measures that foster safe, secure, and supportive environments for all students and staff throughout Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS).  The ongoing trauma experienced by families as a result of this global pandemic continues to manifest itself in an uptick of disruptive behaviors. We are not alone, school systems across the nation are facing similar challenges. The associate director of the Center for Childhood Resilience notes that the return to full-time in person learning has resulted in “a prolonged adjustment period” because of the increased interaction and structure.

Notice the euphemism used for violence. It’s called “challenging student behavior. ” They can’t even use the correct terminology for gang fights and gun threats. We all know that you cannot solve a problem you won’t identify accurately.

Also take note of the blame for all of this. It’s the new catch all for everything. The pandemic. The very people who promoted the pandemic and closing schools are now using it as an excuse for violence.

Like you, I am troubled by the reports of increasingly disruptive behaviors that have created added stress and exhaustion for staff, and additional worry for families. There are no easy answers. However, my team and I are committed to working with all members of Team BCPS to tackle these issues. It is important to note that social media threats and community-based conflicts, at times involving adult members of our community, are carried into school environments. This creates an additional hardship on schools and impacts school staff’s ability to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all. Below are a list of actions and opportunities we are taking to partner with the BCPS community to ensure that our schools can focus on teaching and learning:

Here is an interesting cause of violence. “Social media threats and community based conflicts, at times involving adult members of our community.”That is code used to describe those pesky parents and community members who have demanded accountability from the Board and Superintendent via meetings and social media. Instead of listening, Dr. Williams would rather blame them. If only they would keep quiet and allow the school system do what they want without questions.

Upcoming Live Virtual Town Hall Meetings by zone during the Week of December 13. These solution-oriented meetings are a follow up to the systemwide meeting held in October and will focus on community-related safety concerns. They will be facilitated by School Safety Managers and Executive Directors that work directly with schools. Meeting information will be sent via School Messenger.

You didn’t think they would do live meetings, did you? Much too scary. I’d also like to know about the solutions were created in the October meetings? Did they work? Doesn’t seem so.

Deployment of central office staff to schools to address identified needs, provide an enhanced adult presence, and help ensure safe and supportive environments.

This is the most ridiculous idea of all. Let’s send those gray haired central office wonks out to the schools to prevent violence. You know, the folks who haven’t been around an actual school building for years. Can’t wait to see them break up a fight or command obedience from real, live kids.

Use of alternative education options for students in need of additional support. School staff will work with families to create responsive solutions to meet the needs of all students.

This phrasing is exactly what is part of the problem. While schools are busy creating “responsive” solutions for the students in need of “additional supports,” they are eschewing solutions that have been proven successful in the past, you know, like standards and actual discipline and consequences.Meanwhile, do their victims get “additional supports?”

BCPS Student Council will launch a system-wide mental health awareness campaign in December and partner with the Maryland Center for School Safety for a “See It, Hear It, Report It” campaign in January.

More feel good stuff that won’t do anything. Sort of like the “see something, say something” campaign to prevent terrorism. What’s next? Student Council as TSA? Inspecting back packs and taking off shoes?

Upcoming Parent University presentation on conscious discipline entitled “Supporting the Social-Emotional Needs of Your Child and Yourself” with a focus on the topic of composure. It will be held on Tuesday, December 14 at 12:30 p.m. For more information and to register, visit the Parent University link or call 443-809-0365.

First off, what is “conscious discipline” and how is it different from “discipline?” Is regular discipline, established over the generations, no longer valid? Quite frankly, from what I have seen children suffer from a total lack of discipline. Period.

Recognize that phrase “social emotional?” That comes from “social emotional learning” a program that, with CRT, shows kids and families that they need to have the acceptable values that the state wants, not what their beliefs dictate. Since it is included in most school system mission statements for the past three years, I wonder why this hasn’t been successful in stopping school violence.

Parent Teacher Association Council of Baltimore County will be meeting in January to share resources with all local PTA presidents focused on the important role of the community in working with the school district to build safe and supportive learning environments. Local PTSA’s will host school specific meetings focused on safety.

We will bring together leaders, teachers, support professional and community partners for a multi-district, round table session. Participants will collaborate and work together in January 2022 to identify innovative solutions.

This actually means that the school system will select people they like and agree with to talk about and mutually admire the problem of school violence. Then they will check the box, pat themselves on the back, and do nothing. But they will brag about it endlessly. And they will ask for…more money.

We invite you to participate in as many of the upcoming activities as possible.  Please continue to work directly with your school leadership teams to collaborate on positive solutions for the school community. Our partnership is critical during these challenging times.

He actually means the partnership is critical if you totally agree with him. Otherwise, suck it.

With appreciation,

Darryl L. Williams, Ed.D.

So, two leaders from the same county, one of the largest in Maryland, proposing the same unsuccessful lip service to a huge problem. I guarantee that you could take either of these letters, put them on a different county’s letterhead, sign them with a different Community leader/Superintendent’s name, and send them out. They all want more money and talk. And that is it. Real solutions take hard work and tough decisions.

While all of this philosophical discussion of answers that won’t work is going on our State School Board has created a mandate for masking children in public schools indefinitely, or until 80% of students and teachers in a school are vaccinated. Can you say “coercion” boys and girls?

As local schools are dividing students into groups who hate and blame each other, the State School Board is ensuring that there will be scapegoats available for the ongoing masking. Imagine being in a school where 75% of the population is vaccinated but certain children and teachers aren’t. What do you think will happen to these people? Do you think we might have some bullying and targeting? Of course we will. All you have to do is look at the vitriol against the unvaccinated on social media and even on certain cable television programs ( like Jim Cramer on CNBC) to see the death threats and call for the military to forcibly vaccinate people. Spell NAZI while you are at it.

And nationally, the disastrous school discipline rules started under the Obama Administration are now back. These are the rules that are blamed for the Parkland, Florida mass murder in 2018. To even use the word discipline for this policy is a joke.

Rather than explain these to you myself, I am including two links to articles about these policies. One is from November 2019 and one is from May, 2021.

Read them and judge for yourself about why this is happening. Most parents and community members don’t know about these policies. I think once you do, you will know what the plan is for our children and our schools.

Yes, we have taught our children well. And it is indeed, hell.
